A GROUP, Ikeja Stakeholders’ Forum ,ISF, has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC, to declare the House of Representatives seat of the running mate to the late Prince Abubakar Audu in Kogi State, Mr. Abiodun Faleke vacant.

A statement by its coordinator, Mr. Olanrewaju Osundairo warned that should the commission fail to do so, the group would resort to legal action.

The statement partly reads: ‘’By virtue of the fact that Faleke had transferred his franchise away from Lagos to Kogi State, he ceases to be a member of the constituency. He lacks the moral and legal rights to speak for us in Ikeja at the lower legislative chambers.”

It further stated that the decision of the lawmaker to contest the governorship has impacted negatively on the representation of the area in the lower chambers, saying the trend must be reversed in the interest of the people of the area.

“You don’t need anyone to tell you that Hon. Faleke has been distracted from representing us at the House of Representatives, all that concerns him now is how to become the governor of Kogi State and not to represent us.”
INEC fails to act, we will compel them to do the needful using the judiciary.”

on a serious note, dis man suposed to hv resiggned his position as reps member d day he was nominated as running mate to prince audu.
but who will question people who owns nigeria, people who think they constitution was drafted n passed into by them, people who ride on the gullibilty of the entire masses!
when atiku was been picked by obj he had to step down for boni, like wise when gej wa picked as yaraduas running mate he reelinquished d seat to timi sylva so he culd concentrate on the new position he was assumn. dont knw hw person go be reps member for anoda state n a running mate to a guber candidate in another state, where lies his loyalty?

you have a point my guy. On a serious note, how on earth did he think he will even become the governor of the state. His voters card is reading Lagos.

APC electoral and political CORRUPTION has been going on forever.
Using one candidate in two separate elections in different states is their FRAUDULENT style.

theoctopus:
This is what is currently happening in Lagos West Senatorial district featuring Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Honourable Solomon Olamilekan Adeola alias YAYI.

On 6th of Feb 2014, YAYI Adeola in Ilaro, Yewa South LG of Ogun State, registered to contest for senate, Ogun West.
All of a sudden, with the help of his in-law Tinubu, YAYI surfaced in Lagos West after losing out in the APC primaries in Ogun West.

There are three senatorial districts in Lagos and Tinubu’s family members are jostling for two of those. It's on record that Solomon Olamilekan Adeola - YAYI married from Tinubu’s family. I'm also aware that Tinubu’s wife is the incumbent senator for Lagos Central.

Are there no other candidates the APC can come up with. Why must they be from Tinubu’s family? Do we need a confused YAYI in Lagos West? Has Lagos become the waste dump of Ogun state?

It is obvious YAYI is after his personal interest and those of his godfather Tinubu. ‪#‎LagosWestDeservesBetter‬ than him and APC

Now you can understand when they say APC is Tinubu's business enterprise

The kind of greed running in Nigerian politicians is among the highest in the world, the man want to play a fast one on people, gamble with Kogi election while retaining his seat in the Reps, What happens to resignation as soon as he was nominated? As some people said, its double wahala for dead body

Illiterates! Faleke can only lose his seat through impeachment or recall. As far as reality is concerned, recall is impracticable.

That faleke dude is too ambitious for my liking. Your principal died before the conclusion of Kogi gubernatorial election and the next thing he deemed fit is to start clamoring for his principal's post.
He refused to obey the party's decision , what kind of politician is that? No iota of sympathy on the loss of his boss. All he was after is to become kogi state governor despite having no grassroots support in kogi State.

Not all politicians are wise though.
