Why Do You Believe Your Religion Is The Right One. by pulsa(m): 7:55pm On Jan 11, 2016
GOOD DAY Brothers and sisters but I have always wanted to ask, why do you believe that your religion is the right one and other religion aren't.
IS it not just obvious that you believe in your religion because you were born into it and therefore indoctrinated into it. And yes there are converts but they are cut across all religions I.e Muslims convert to Christians and vice versa, don't be offended if this seems blunt but I just want to know.

Yeah but religion is more to that being born as a Muslim or Christian doesn't really matter but what really matters most is for you to investigate every matter and know which is true as the bible says your God is not an author of confusion and Quran also says surely the religion from Allah (God) is Islam but when go through the bible verses very well you meet a lot of contradictions variations and so many unlike Quran because Allah(God) said if not that this book is from us you will have found a lot of contradictions in it.
There is more to this if wanna know you can reply me

can you name them or can you give the verses

39:4 If Allah had willed to choose a son, He could have chosen what He would of that which He hath created. 6:100-1 Yet they ... impute falsely, without knowledge, sons and daughters unto Him. ... The Originator of the heavens and the earth! How can He have a child?

41:9-12 Say (O Muhammad, unto the idolaters): Disbelieve ye verily in Him Who created the earth in two Days ... He placed therein firm hills rising above it, and blessed it and measured therein its sustenance in four Days ... Then He ordained them seven heavens in two Days....

7:54 Lo! your Lord is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days. 10:3 Lo! your Lord is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days. 11:7 And He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days. 50:38 We created the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in six Days. 57:4 He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days.

Many verses in the Qur'an make clear that the Injil is given to Jesus who was born several hundred years [about 1,400] after Moses. But in Sura 7:155-157 is the problem that Moses prays to Allah and in Allah's response to Moses we read Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (Scriptures), - in the Taurat and the Gospel - .... -- Sura 7:157 The obvious problem is that the Gospel has not been revealed yet at that time, and nobody was able to find anything in it a nonexisting gospel.

Believers, Jews, Sabaeans and Christians - whoever believes in God and the Last Day and does what is right - shall have nothing to fear or regret. -- Sura 5:69 But just three verses further in the text it says Unbelievers are those that say: "God is the Messiah, the son of Mary." For the Messiah himself said: "Children of Israel, serve God, my Lord and your Lord." He that worships other gods besides God, God will deny him Paradise, and the fire shall be his home. None shall help the evil-doers. -- Sura 5:72

Maybe your own Quran is different because your quote on Quran 6:100 is incorrect because that verse is talking about the jinn Allah explain that create them and give them offspring which means that that verse is not talking about Jesus it say : وَجَعَلُوا لِلَّهِ شُرَكَاءَ الْجِنَّ وَخَلَقَهُمْ ۖ وَخَرَقُوا لَهُ بَنِينَ وَبَنَاتٍ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۚ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
But they have attributed to Allah partners - the jinn, while He has created them - and have fabricated for Him sons and daughters without knowledge. Exalted is He and high above what they describe.
[Translation - Sahih International]
[6. Al-Anaam, Verse 100]

Via Holy Quran by Quarter Pi

In the your second point about creation of earth u are missing a simple arithmetic because when you add the first two days in verse 9 to the four days in verse ten it is equal to six Quran 41:9 Say, Do you indeed disbelieve in He who created the earth in two days and attribute to Him equals? That is the Lord of the worlds.
[Translation - Sahih International]
[41. Fussilat, Verse 9]

And Quran 41:10 says And He placed on the earth firmly set mountains over its surface, and He blessed it and determined therein its [creatures'] sustenance in four days without distinction - for [the information] of those who ask.
[Translation - Sahih International]
[41. Fussilat, Verse 10]

So 2 in verse nine + 4 in verse ten=

But about that your third point I don't really understand your point if you can explain further
And if you have more you can please type them coz I believe you have not gone through the Quran you are just reading those from a book they write against Quran
When am talking about Bible the contradictions are clear I may give you if you want them

In the Hadith, Muhammad was given a revelation from the angel Gabriel as to why a child resembles the father sometimes, and other times the mother. The angel told him that it depends on which parent reaches their sexual climax first during conception (Bukhari 4:546). This has been disproved by genetics.

This is the cheapest weak ass defence i have seen this year... So this angel that told muhammed this somehow had only the exact amount of assumption men of that century had.

One should have expected what an angel revealed to Muhammed from God himself to be correct..

Turns out both this angel and God needs to go to school and learn.. they need it

Bukari 4: 546

When 'Abdullah bin Salam heard the arrival of the Prophet at Medina, he came
to him and said, "I am going to ask you about three things which nobody
knows except a prophet: What is the first portent of the Hour? What will be the
first meal taken by the people of Paradise? Why does a child resemble its father, and why does it resemble its maternal uncle"

Allah's Apostle said,
]"Gabriel has just now told me of their answers." 'Abdullah said,

"He (i.e.Gabriel), from amongst all the angels, is the enemy of the Jews." Allah's Apostle said, "The first portent of the Hour will be a fire that will bring togetherthe people from the east to the west; the first meal of the people of Paradise
will be Extra-lobe (caudate lobe) of fish-liver.

As for the resemblance of the child to its parents: If a man has sexual intercourse with his wife and gets discharge first, the child will resemble the father, and if the woman gets discharge first, the child will resemble her."grin

On that 'Abdullah bin Salam said, "I testify that you are the Apostle of Allah."

Oh yes he did and the mumu man who asked the questions even rejoiced thinking the answers were correct..

Both the prophet, the man, the angel Gabriel and the God that gave the revelation are illiterates. they need at least a secondary diploma..

But if a Muslim will see scientific blunders in the Bible they don't bother to think of whether it is "metaphorical"

Both the bible and Quran believers are all guilty of this blunder when defending the glaring inconsistencies in such primitive books that belongs in a museum.

- First they will argue that the scientific finding is wrong and their holy book is right.

-Then they will tell you the holy book was misinterpreted

-then they will tell you their own interpretation trying to convince you that what science said was exactly the actual interpretation "Like Circle means round" who in the world does that... Just take a look at one there claiming "sexual discharge" as found in the hadiths actually means "Gene"

-then they tell you it was not literal but allegorical or metaphor ..

This is what you get when a book written by men in an era we are more civilized than is the basis of your deductions on matters than require study (science)

So the Koran is true because it doesn't have any contradiction in it? Most other books written by humans are without any contradictions. The Koran has some contradictions in it. The Koran as a book is not clear, it has some disjointed statements in it, and the book relies heavily on tafsirs in other to explain away many of it;s disjointed narratives and not so clear verses even though the Koran clearly states that it is a clear book. That alone is a contradiction on it's own. The Koran claims to be a clear book but then it relies heavily on tafsirs to explain it away, meaning it isn;t clear if it is clear, it won't rely on any tafsir to explain it, any body can just read it and understand it clearly.

As a religious book, the Koran adds no new knowledge to mankind about the world or the universe in which we live in. The Koran has never been use as a guide to make any scientific discovery that has helped mankind. It has never been used to find any cure to any disease, no technological idea of advancement is to be found any where inside the Koran, the Koran has also never been used to build any outstanding economic model, despite it advocating a system of banking that muslims have tried but is so weak that it can not compare to the secular system of banking. The Koran has never been used to solve any major problem facing humanity. The moral system the Koran advocates isn't the best for mankind, it's system of justice also isn't the best, as such societies built based on it's principles are not model societies, we can take a look at the middle east where most of the societies are based on Sharia law a system that is advocated by the Koran as the best moral and just system of living and compare it with what is obtainable else where, and see if the societies that follow the principles of the Koran are model societies. Saudi Arabia, Iran, Yemen, Afghanistan, Syria, Kuwait, Bharian, etc. These are not model societies and that is enough to show that the Koran has failed and is a book that is nothing but the ideas, myths and identity of 7th century men. No model society has been built that is attractive to outsiders using the Koran.

Muslims in the house

Pls answer this question

Do you think Isaiah was talking about Jesus in this passage

Prelude - Isaiah 7:1-10
Judah is faced with invasion by its northern neighbours,
the Kingdom of Israel (also called Ephraim) and Aram-
Damascus (Syria), but God instructs the prophet Isaiah to
tell king Ahaz that God will destroy Judah's enemies
(Isaiah 7:1-10):
When Ahaz ... was king of Judah, Rezin, king of
Syria, and Pekah ... king of Israel, marched on
Jerusalem, they were unable to prevail against it.
When the House of David was told that Syria had
allied itself with Ephraim, their hearts and the
hearts of their people trembled ... But the Lord said
to Isaiah, "Go out to meet Ahaz, you and
Shearjushab your son, ... and say to him, 'Be firm
and keep calm, ... The Lord has said, 'It will not
happen...' [3]
The prophecy - Isaiah 7:11-16
Isaiah delivers God's message to Ahaz and tells him to
ask for a sign to confirm that this is a true prophecy
(verse 7:11). Ahaz refuses, saying he will not test God
(7:12). Isaiah replies that Ahaz will have a sign whether
he asks for it or not, and the sign will be the birth of a
child, and the child's mother will call it Immanuel,
meaning "God-with-us" (7:13-14); by the time the infant
"learns to reject the bad and choose the good" (i.e., is old
enough to know right from wrong) he will be eating curds
and honey, and Ephraim and Syria will be destroyed
(7:15-16):
"Ask a sign from the Lord your God, from
lowest Sheol or from highest heaven."
But Ahaz said, "I will not ask, and I will not
test the Lord."
Then he retorted: "Listen, house of David! Is it
not enough to try the patience of men? Will
you also try the patience of my God?
therefore the Lord himself shall give you a
sign: a maiden is with child and she will bear
a son, and will call his name Immanuel.
By the time he learns to reject the bad and
choose the good, he will be eating curds and
honey.
For before the child knows to reject the bad
and choose the good, desolation will come
upon the land of the two kings before whom
you now cower."

600 years after the death of the prophet and Isaiah and the destruction of the two kingdoms he feared and King ahaz Matthew says this:

18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ took
place in this way. When his mother
Mary had been betrothed to Joseph,
before they came together she was
found to be with child from the Holy
Spirit. 19 And her husband Joseph,
being a just man and unwilling to put
her to shame, resolved to divorce her
quietly. 20 But as he considered these
things, behold, an angel of the Lord
appeared to him in a dream, saying,
"Joseph, son of David, do not fear to
take Mary as your wife, for that which
is conceived in her is from the Holy
Spirit. 21 She will bear a son, and you
shall call his name Jesus, for he will
save his people from their sins." 22
All this took place to fulfill what the
Lord had spoken by the prophet: 23
"Behold, the virgin shall conceive and
bear a son, and they shall call his
name Immanuel" (which means, God
with us). 24 When Joseph woke from
sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord
commanded him: he took his wife, 25
but knew her not until she had given
birth to a son. And he called his name
Jesus.

How couldn't he? People like Aristotle and Galen for example explain more complex things to peoplelving around them that lived over a thousand year before Mohammed. It's simply his ignorance and lack of knowledge, after all the same Mohammed we are told, instructed people to drink camel urine as cure for diseases.

And such assumptions is expected from such medieval mind...Just like Dalaman pointed out, it is just a result of ignorance so don't pull this weak excuse.

Like everything else in the Koran, the story of the Gog and Magog is another plagiarized legend with an Arabic twist. Gog and Magog also appears in the bible in the book of revelations. The summary of the story goes like this:

There was a man with two horns called Zulqarnain who found the sun setting into a muddy spring somewhere on earth and later after seeing the sun setting in a muddy spring, he saw the sun rising in the east near some people who had no shelter from it. After witnessing that, he took another route where he meet some people that could hardly understand what he was saying. The people he meet there reported the people of Gog and Magog to him saying they are evil and are always making mischief in the land. They said he should make a barrier between them. So he told them to help him with workers so that he will build a fortified barrier between the two of them which they did, after which he built a wall with blocks of iron between two mountains separating the two people. He built the wall separating the people of Gog and Magog and the other people, the people of Gog and Magog were trapped behind the wall he built and could not scale the wall or dig a hole through it.

The Koran now says that the people of Gog and Magog will not be trapped for ever, some day the people of Gog and Magog will break through the wall, come out into the world and cause utter chaos that will eventually lead to the end of the world. Their breaking through the iron barrier is one of the 10 signs of the things that will happen before the day of judgement according to Islamic narration.

So the main stream Islamic narration is that the people of Gog and Magog have been trapped somewhere here on earth behind this iron wall that was built by Zulqarnain for thousands of years and will remain there until when we reach the final days of the end time. What makes the story absurd is that these people of Gog and Magog are here on earth trapped behind a mountain with a metal barrier. What makes it more absurd is that the population of the people of Gog and Magog is more than the population of the people on earth. So we are to believe that somewhere around the world there are people who are trapped behind two mountains with an iron barrier whose number is by far more than the population of the people on earth, people who will some day break through their iron barrier, come into the world and cause utter havoc. How can any body believe this trash when we have used google earth to map the whole world and have failed to see any group of people that actually number more than the population of the earth trapped any where. The crazy things that religion makes people to believe and accept.

He too was also one of these bedouins..

And such assumptions is expected from such medieval mind...Just like Dalaman pointed out, it is just a result of ignorance so don't pull this weak excuse.

Plato conceived the world to be spherical thousands of years back while your quran written in a more recent time time thinks the earth is spread like a mat
what am saying is that you can't say his explanation to be wrong and the Quran never said the earth is flat sad

It is absurd to think that Modern 21st century men are revolving their thinking around these ridiculous books and try tooth and nail to defend it..

The things that Christians do to make their Bible play catch up to science. A Christian once said that starlight started 6000 years he said that even though stars are billions of light years away the speed of light increased tremendously due to the effects of the sin of Noah's generation.

Yahweh the only God I know whose weaknesses are high buildings and iron chariots.

How couldn't he? People like Aristotle and Galen for example explain more complex things to peoplelving around them that lived over a thousand year before Mohammed. It's simply his ignorance and lack of knowledge, after all the same Mohammed we are told, instructed people to drink camel urine as cure for diseases.
and the camel urine cured their disease.more complex things like what? where things like DNA,genes or chromosomes known then.
