Ok..

That Dasuki issue has shown that GEJ torelated corruption to a whole different level, but in the midst of all the noise and controversy, the challenge is on us to ensure to every public holder is properly monitored to avoid a repeat of this.....
You try. But, what of the last sentence? The question! Can we break away from the penelopic circle of flage...blahblahblah
Re: Patrick Obahiagbon Speaks About Dasukigate by PBundles(m): 7:53am On Jan 15, 2016
The issue is not that the words are not real, they are used out of context. The term dum vivimus vivimus, is latin for while we live let us live, has nothing to do with the text. You cant ELIVATE dum vivimus vivimus. The guy is a clown using words just to be interesting. Remember that the purpose of communication is to ensure that the party you are talking to must be able to comprehend. If the average Nigerian can comprehend it why use the terms and phrases. I once gave an exerpt to an English professor at the institution I teach PT and all she could do was laugh. She has a Phd in Languages and said he was making ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE.

The funniest thing about this man is that everything he says is in the dictionary and correct! It's not his fault if the average Nigerian cannot understand his level of high English! Buy a dictionary and start learning English!

The man reads his dictionary like text book. But I still wonder how he managed to get his degree in law, because his communication skill is near zero. Communication is complete when a reader comprehends what you have to say. I love reading articles by mass comm and English specialists. But igodomigodo, to me, is simply a dressing and Grammer comedian.

Communication is a 2 way thing. One person has to be saying something that can be understood, and the other has to understand. In the case of Obahiagbon, he is saying something that can be understood, the fact that many people don't understand should not be the man's problem. It would have been a different thing if the man was talking gibberish, but he is not. So everyone should aspire to catch up with him.

The funniest thing about what you have said is that it is not everything that is in the dictionary that you just pick and use. There is a principle in language, that clearly states that the essence of using a language is to communicate and that comes when the listener understands the speaker. Can you go to the market and start speaking Queen's English? If you do that, it is not the fault of the market people that do not understand your 'level of high English', but your fault for not learning to use the English language to communicate appropriately. Even newspapers don't use that kinda English. He even uses jargon that are particular to law, and some Latin words. I am sure even you will need a dictionary to understand the whole message except if you want to pretend to understand and that is PDP (Papa Deceive Pickin)! grin grin grin

The Chief of Staff to Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon (aka Igodomigodo) has finally revealed his thoughts about the trial of former National Security Adviser, Dasuki.

Here's what he shared on his Facebook page. If you understand what he said and can explain, please help us.

"Whereas the Dasuki menopause has diaphanously made the point that the Jonathan administration elevated the dum vivimus, vivamus nectar to a nauseating and asphyxiating elastoplast, it can bear reiteration that beyond the current ballyhoo baying for a condign comeuppance, the challenge is how to ensure that each public officer is henceforth subjected to the immolatory trajectory of dulce et decorum est pro patria mori. But can we break away from the penelopic circle of flagellative rigor mortis?"

(dum vivimus, vivamus, dulce est pro patria mori) are not found in any known english dictionary.

My friend, everything he says are in the dictionary but not all the words used are appriopriately applied. Besides, what he speaks is not "high level of English" like you stated but unnecessary use of vocabs. It could even be a cover up for grammatical errors.

Abegi where 4 dictionary crincum crancum / higi haga dey? Oga just dey blast Latin anyhow. "flagellative rigor mortis" has no meaning unless it's an oxymoron. A flagella is an organ 4 movement in certain microscopic organisms while rigor mortis is d stiffness & difficulty in movement dt affects an animal afta a certain period of death. Oga just dey blow rubbish grammar.
