If news coming from Thisday Newspaper regarding Buhari's advice to APC leadership on the need to look inwards for sourcing of fund to finance its activities is anything to go by, it further reestablishes our position that the President and his party have been playing pranks with the psyche of Nigerians in the ongoing fight against corruption. It further establishes our earlier position that an APC-led government at any level do not have the moral right to probe or prosecute members of the opposition for any act of impunity arising from the funding of its political activities while in govt as the ruling class.

What this advice particularly accentuates is the veracity of the claims by many political watchers who have always maintained that State funds were used to finance APC when they were in opposition but with Rivers State slipping out of their hands and other APC-controlled States (such as Osun and Ogun facing acute revenue plunge), the president's recent stance was not borne out of sincerity but in response to startling realities starring him and his party in the face.

Questions should now be thrown to the president why he did not query sources of fund allegedly spent by APC governors on his election campaigns if indeed he's a man of integrity as been widely claimed.

Even if there are hardened supporters of the president who do not buy the idea of how questionable APC financing had been, can anyone in his/her right frame of mind counter the fact that millions of naira were spent in fuelling Rivers State and other Jets which the president used in traveling the length and breadth of the country in the last elections? Did the Rivers State Assembly approve the use of govt properties for activities other than state functions?

More importantly, the president should explain to Nigerians on what moral ground he's now demonising the PDP for allegedly using public fund to finance its activities when they were in power at the centre.

Starting the anti-corruption crusade on clean state using systemic and institutionalised approach to block further leakages and corrupt acts going forward, without unnecessarily dwelling on the past (which APC guilty belonged) will serve this administration some good.

Let this not be seen by hailing hailers as support for corruption. Never! But when a leaders knows his past was filled with rots, he should spend less time in self-branding but concentrate on mission at hand. And Buhari's mission is to fulfil campaign promises.

OP is it a curse that you can not think ? If God as not rebuke you how can you imagine Buhari will probe those that financed his election when you open your opolo eye n see that he as compensated some with ministerial slot ? Do you people not get tired of being senseless ? Did PDP ever query those that financed its election either with private or public funds ? Why must you now ask Buhari to do that ? Why can you not wait till PDP you support regain power so they can prove apc too ?

You're seriously daft. Have you forgotten when your messaih said he'll prosecute anybody found to be corrupt even if they're members of his party? Is it that you're so dull or can't apply your brain to commonsense? Pls shut up if there's nothing reasonable to say. OK?

PDP did not bother to raise dust where none existed. It's APC that's fond of criminalising others even when they know their own house is full of dirt
