In Nigeria’s ongoing war against corruption, President Muhammadu Buhari will not spare anyone who has a case to answer, and his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan, would face justice if guilty, presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina, has said.

Mr. Buhari has “no accord” to shield any corrupt person from prosecution.

“There is no accord,” he said, “if the corruption fight needs to get there (making Mr. Jonathan face justice), it will get there.”

Several top officials who served under Mr. Jonathan, as well as his political associates in the then ruling Peoples Democratic Party, are currently being tried, or investigated by the Economic and Financial crimes Commission, for corruption.

A major case involves a former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, accused of diverting $2.1 billion arms money, and sharing same to politicians and cronies of the former president.

According to investigators, Mr. Dasuki says he was authorized by Mr. Jonathan to release the money for the nation’s security programmes, and for the 2015 presidential campaign.

The spokesperson for the PDP, Olisa Metuh, has also said he received the payment after carrying out some assignments for the former president.

Those claims have raised questions whether Mr. Jonathan, whom Mr. Buhari assured during transfer of power in 2015, that he had nothing to fear, would face prosecution should it be proven he has a case to answer.

Mr. Buhari has also been accused of bias after against the PDP. The allegations gained fillip last week after his associate and party member, Jafaru Isa, was released by the EFCC despite facing same allegation as Mr. Metuh, the PDP spokesperson.

But Mr. Adesina denied the allegations against the president.

“There is no accord that if corruption is proven, it will not be tried,” he said of the former president. “With this president, nobody will be protected. And I underscore it, if it needs to get anywhere, it will get there.”

We are sick and tired of all these probe talks. They are diversionary.

This is the most urgent issue:

Happenings like this in this present administration compels some of us to probe into President Buhari's faculties, motives, his person, experiences in the military and a plethora of life spheres he has been exposed to.

A few weeks earlier when Gov. Fayose of Ekiti State compared The APC led Government to the Nigerian home videos we were quick to attempt to vilify and demonise him. But unfolding events like the missing budget, the doctored budget, the increase in the Aso Rock villa domestic expenditure, the 3b naira Aso Rock Villa renovation provision, the prediction of the budget execution upon a $38/barrel of crude oil when the current price of the oil is $27/28 / barrel, the plan to run a 2.2 Trillion Naira deficit budget in 2016 and the plan to secure approximately 2 Trillion Naira (Both domestic & foreign) loans to fun the budget,
and now before us, linking of electric wire to the driver's bunk that would cost over #300, 000, 000.

Quite worrisome to ponder on whether or not Mr. President actually subjected those estimates to painstaking study and scrutiny by experts before sending them out. Has he even engaged experts around him?

Or has he been more concerned in engaging noise makers and propagandists who are quick to deconstruct black and call it white and vice versa?

Again, Mr. President has made it very obvious that he choses to rely on a closely-knitted Kitchen Cabinet that does not wish the Nation well.

Again too, members of that kitchen cabinet are inexperienced and bereft of apt wherewithals. This is obvious from the poor and injurious meals they keep churning out from that 'kitchen' to serve the nation with in the name of policies for eight months now.

It's is becoming very clear that we can not trust the present crop of leaders in the presidency with the future of our nation.
If any one likes, because of partisanship, tribal/ethnic considerations or religious affiliations, let him/her keep defending Mr. President and keep avoiding to tell himself/herself the truth. One day, he/she would be compelled to join the 'wailing' when it affects him/her inextricably.

Why is it that the majority of corrupt people supporters are from a section of this country SE/SS? Is it that these people are innately corrupt or just displaying the venom they have for PMB led administration? Northerners have been arrested and Westerners accused with no one carrying placard in support of them from these regions. Why are these people like this?
