✞ DANGER – Another Gospel

The Apostle Paul warned in the
strongest possible terms about the attitude of God toward those who would pervert or distort the
*Gospel of Christ*.

We can easily understand this, as it cost God his only beloved son Jesus, and Jesus' horrible death by
crucifixion. St. Paul stated:
.
"But though we, or an angel from
heaven, preach *any other gospel* unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Gal.1:8
.
Paul also adamantly reveals the
gospel he preached was given to
him by JESUS and no other apostle, or person, he often refers to the *Gospel of Christ* as 'my gospel' in many verses and he always defended it with his very life.

Galatians 1: 11-12
11. But I certify you, brethren, that
*the gospel* which was preached
of me is NOT AFTER MAN.
12. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. [Emphasis mine]

What is the true gospel that one
MUST believe to be saved? -
the...*Gospel of Christ*

1 Corinthians 15:1-4
"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received - [the
gospel], how that *Christ died for
our sins* according to the
scriptures; And that *he was
buried*, and that *he rose again*
the third day according to the
scriptures:"

This is the clearest statement of the *Gospel of Christ* in the New
Testament. It is NOT what we do
for God, but rather what He,
through Christ, has done for us. Our responsibility lies only in ~receiving it by FAITH~.

NOTE: There are two kinds of
BELIEVING:
1. Believe by seeing... requiring
EVIDENCE / A SIGN
2. Believing without seeing...
requiring *FAITH

8 For by grace are ye saved
through *faith*; and that not of

1. It's not possible for God to give us a gift and collect it back no matter what. If God should collect it back, which is impossible, then it's not a gift in the first place.

In 1 Corinthians 2:12 we read... Now we have received not the spirit of the world but the spirit of God; that we might know the things that are FREELY GIVEN to us of God.
Why do we have the spirit of God? It's to make us aware of the free gifts we have in Christ like the gift of righteousness, sanctification, justification, redemption, including eternal life, etc etc all in Christ (1 Cor 1:30).
When we believe that Jesus shed his blood for us, he died and buried and God raised him up from the dead we are saved and sealed by the Holy Spirit and immediately we have all these and more as gifts in Christ Jesus. That's why we go to church to learn these things and grow. There's no other reason why we should gather than knowing our gifts in Christ and if we dont know then respectfully ask your church leader(s) about these gifts in Christ. Remember, it's FREELY GIVEN. FREELY GIVEN IS FREELY GIVEN.

God's grace means Gift. But there are different kinds of gifts. Most gifts of men come with "Terms and Conditions Apply" one way or the other but that's not so with the gifts of God. Paul made sure to differentiate between God's gifts from all other gifts when he qualified God's gift with the adjective "free". (Rom 5:15,16).

Man HAD a sin problem but no more. Why? Because of these gifts in Christ:
For the wages of sin is death....(now that's bad news...but wait! the Good news is that)....the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ..(Rom 6:23).
Eternal life is a gift only in Christ and if eternal life could be cut short by any means then its not eternal life God gave to us in the first place.

Paul made a distinction between grace (gift) and works in Romans 11:6 kjv:
6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
Verse 29 of Romans 6 reaffirms the confidence and assurance of God's gift:
29 For the gifts and calling of God is without repentance.
God as God can't change His mind about the gifts He has given you in Christ. That's why He's God.

2. The sin that takes people to hell is the sin of unbelief.
John 3:18,36; 1 John 5:9-12; John 16:8,9; etc. etc. Please be sure to look these verses up.

In Hebrew 3:7-19 the writer was using the example of what happened to the Israelites when they were about to enter the promised land and God was not happy with many of them and many died not seing, not to talk of to enter the promised land. Why? Because of the sin of Unbelief. See verses 18,19.

So for us today sin is no longer the issue because of what Jesus has done: his death, burial and resurrection for salvation (1 Cor 15:1-4).

Nobody needs to be in unbelief today for God is forever satisfied with the sacrifice of His Son:
2 Cor 5:19,21
...19 to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, NOT imputing their trespasses unto them: and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.....
21 For God hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be the righteousness of God in him.

Dear Meel, Yes, of course. The sacrifice of Jesus on the cross is an overpayment for our sin debts: past, present and future. (read Rom 5:16,17). He has paid our sin debts upfront - all fully paid and stamped by the Holy Spirit. That's why it's called the Good News in the first place. Gospel means Good news!

In the body of Christ, in this dispensation of grace, there's nothing like unrepentant sin or backsliding. We are forever forgiven New Creations in Christ (2 Cor 5:17).

Colossians 2:13..
And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you ALL your trespasses...
.
How many of your sins has God forgiven? Some? No. ALL. Sleep tonight and wake up the next morning, you will still find your forgiven state there.
See supporting verses: Col 1:14; Eph 4:32, etc.

You see that's why we need to have an eye of faith on the death, burial and resurrection of Christ for our salvation because every gift we have in Christ can only be obtained by faith for the righteousness of Christ that's NOW being revealed is from faith to faith...(Rom 1:17). It's ultimate sacrifice, done once and for all.

So what's the practical application of these things?
The truth is that no man born of woman in this flesh can stop sinning, no matter how moral they may seem to be from the outside. Quote me anywhere. Grace does not tell you to sin, what grace does is to save you. Get that. It gives eternal rest to your soul. That's why those who resist grace will never find rest in their conscience. Dont be carried away by their outward appearance. Again get that.

So what do you do when you sin?
Simple. Thank God for his gifts of grace, righteousness, eternal life, sanctification, justification, redemption, forgiveness, etc as GIFTS in Christ because He has already done it nearly two thousand years ago only that you may just be hearing it now. When you sin, as a beginner, open your bible, look for where these gifts are in Paul's epistles (Paul is our apostle in the body of Christ - Rom 11:13 etc) and repeat those words to yourself in assurance of faith. With time you would be strong in faith of Christ you wont need to peep in your bible for relevant verses of scripture again.

Be strong in Grace 2 Tim 2:1 and may Christ dwell in your heart by faith..Eph 3:17.
