This is weekend and once more, 'market day' has come again! wink

Bet shops across Nigeria will be filled with anxious guys who are eager to win one amount of money or the other grin There are different categories of people you will find!

Okay, let's go:

1) The million-million winners: These set of people are always hopeful that their bet slips will produce the needed millions. They are mostly boastful...you hear them saying 'If Ronaldo just score nah, my millions dor show' grin After the game, they become colder than iced water!!! Bros, na u get Ronaldo leg? The most annoying thing is that they accumulate up to 40 matches with a stake of 100 Naira! grin

2) The testimonies experts: These category of people are good in telling stories of how one bricklayer, somewhere in town won 5 million Naira in Merrybet or how one poor truck-pusher won 2 million Naira in Surebet! Ask them simply what the person's name is and you will discover that they don't even have a damn knowledge about the person they claimed that won big!

3) The copy-cats: This set of people are never prepared for the bet. They just walk into bet shops with pen and paper; they would listen to people's analysis of football matches and pick any game anyone among the crowd mentions as a sure game! grin They can even handicap Man United to lose to Kano Pillars with Man United being on the home side as far as somesome has tipped it as a 'sure game' grin

4) The odd checkers: This category of people, like the testimonies experts, do not have prepared games in mind to play. They simply go straight to the boards immediately they enter the bet shop to check the odds of different matches. They search for matches with home teams having low odds and away teams having high odds cheesy They pick matches according to the odds attached! Example: Crystal Palace (Home) 1.09 / Newcastle (Away) 7.14. In this illustration, the odd checkers would definitely pick Crystal Palace to win because, to them, the home team would win since they have a far smaller odd.

5) The beggers: This category of people are always broke. Funny thing is that they are mostly the first to get to bet shops everyday. They beg people to assist them with 100 Naira to play a slip. Beware of such people! They also pose to be very friendly too so that they could get small change from you to stake their bet!

6) The bet shop campers: This category of people are ever present in the bet shop. If you go there in the morning, you will see them. Go in the afternoon and evening, they are still there! They have made bet shops their home; what is left is to bring in their bed and cooking pots to come and live. They are fond of giving stakers tips and 'sure games'. Many of then have not won even 3k for the past two years!!! grin

7) The association of ex-pool stakers: These are old-time football pool stakers that are trying to modernize their method! They are mostly aged men; don't be surprise to see your landlord, Papa Sikiru, in the 'I must win today' mood! grin They don't give a hoot about anyone; ALABI must pay cheesy The 5 draws must enter! grin

Abeg, add your own cheesy
