Looking at whats coming up in 2007, this will determine Nigeria's fate ahead for the future. No Region is ready to serve the other and the affected regions wants equity by getting power in 2007.

What will happen if power doesnt go to South south or south east in 2007?

what happens,
- our external reserves will go down, Efcc would be disbanded/rendered impotent, multiple abuses of human rights, the army would be politicised [as before],mediocrity would re-creep[ in under the guise of federal character.].and so on,

Serious question.

What the hell would happen to the northern half of the country without the south?

Nigeria will not divide; we are one nation under GOD.

'GOD' is a questionable entity, at best.

It will never happen the north needs the south to survive and since the north controls the country and they have a bit of brain they'll stay together

The "god" who is in control of arson, politial brigandage, looting of the treasury, political prostitution in the guise of cross-carpeting, buying and selling of the people's mandates?

One nation under which "god" really? since when did he begin to factor into the fabric of our nation except when called upon as an excuse to legalise profligate stealing of the nation's resources?

EXU:
God is not questionable in any way or any matter. God IS. Take it and believe it. It will do you good.

On the matter Nigeria will soon divide: some questions come up. What is Nigeria, a country of over 130 million people located on the West of Africa. Why would it or should it breakup? Intolerance and Greed.

The South is intolerant of the North's greed to hold on to power and control resources overtly or covertly.
But who is the North and who is the South? Do not be mislead, Nigeria has over 250 indigenous tribes or ethnic groups and are not at all one nation but an union of nations. There is no reason for the union besides "independence" which was the basis for which our founding fathers formed the country.

The North is just a group of soldiers and their friends backed by some religious rulers and traditional chieftains.
While the South is a disunited group of businessmen and their friends supported also by traditional chieftains.

The true Nigerian people (people we meet daily) have no say in this power struggle between some Nigerians (North/South). The North and South political cults or cabals have failed Nigeria and Nigerians. The Nigerian people have grown frustrated but are still highly indifferent and cannot begin a rebellion against either of these cults. The true Nigerians are not disunited but agree on a lot of matters (football, business, marriage, etc) disagree on others such as (religion, culture).

The Intolerance by the South of the North, and the Greed of the North to control power and resources may be reason for a split. The Nigerian people never really identify with themselves in matters of power struggle and this is as a result of their disagreements mentioned above. This weakness of the Nigerian people is exploited by the North/South in their power-play. Where a truce cannot be reached or the other subdued, there will likely be a serious breakup.

Both the military North and disunited South cabals have not really held power for the good of Nigeria and Nigerians. Elections are here again and what is playing out? A grand design to disenfranchise Nigerians on a large-scale.

Nigeria will not divide so long as some truce or counter truce keeps coming up. But Nigeria will never get better with these truces. Apply reasoning to this theory and you will come to the same conclusions as I did, Nigerians must unite for good causes and issues affecting us the real Nigerians by dethroning the North/South Cabals or continue to wallow in "government magic of 2 steps forward 5 backward."

Think today about this matter. The North is not a tribe nor is the South an ethnic group. They are just various groups who compete for power and resources at the expense of the the true owners. We must bring an end to this and put Nigerians in power.

Yes we must face reality, Nigeria is only in one piece today, tanks to the almighty. Were she to be another country, she would have long seperated. Only this morning, i read that OPEC has ranked Angola the highest oil producing country in the continent. What does this potend? Militancy in the oil rich niger delta is no doubt affecting us and God help this country that our oil does not dry up soonest. As per the power equation it will only be balanced when power drifts to the south east/ south axis. Anything short of that will lead to, only God knows

Nigeria ain't getting divided. If there is one thing we are experts at in Nigeria it is staying together as a nation (there is even a book about our expertise written by some British dude). Probably something to do with the bitter civil war we fought some decades ago.
