olajizz01: Yes. It's mandatory because govt is running free education for all in d state from elementary to high school. why now d segregation in paying for d exam dt will qualify them to obtain their basic SSC? If majority fail d mocked mock exams, whose faults? their teachers were not paid, went on strike for 4 months last year, no extra coaching or prep classes. Now d govt wait for d WAEC registration to close before announcing to d parents they have to pay by themselves. d same governor that used to encourage students while at public functions to beat and molest any teacher that ask them for any money because they are running free edu. 1 Like |

Priviledged turn to right Ignorance is a case. Na by force to pay for u? How can govt invest in a falure. Every investors are expecting good ROI return on investment. So far the Osun State govt didnt stop their parent from paying or register them for waec, they have no right to do this. But if govt wont allow them to pay by themselves and register that is when they have right to protest. Otherwise they should all be punish for this babaric act. |

Due to the financial crisis facing the state, the state government decided to scale down the number of pupils whose fees would be paid this year. This was said to have made the government announce that it would not pay the WASSCE fees of any pupil who failed to have four credits in the mock-examinations.. Imagine Four credit oo mayb nt inclusion of Maths & English. Am pretty sure ol doze participate in d protest are bunch of miscreants |

Ordinary 4 Credits. If WAEC publishes its results and South east takes the lead, as usual, they will call it miracle centers. Ask Umahi, his condition for payment is 8 Credits including English or Maths. 1 Like |

G1gbolahan:Ask yourself if the teachers are doing their jobs well...... You don't teach students the way they should be taught and you want to pay for their waec based on performance.. What performance The strikes embarked upon by teachers or the horrible learning conditions the students have to put up with... Osun state government should just scrap state secondary schools because they're simply incompetent in managing them .. |
Re: Students Attack Osun Radio Station In Violent Protest (Photos) by G1gbolahan: 11:04am On Feb 06, 2016 |
Did some students pass? YES Are their fees being sponsored? YES. It s simple, as the economic situation in osun is now, he who wants freebies must contribute to it. The only contribution required of the students is to pass their exams so the question of fairness does not arise. hotspec: |

There is always room for improvement of teachers in any state. What is clear though, is that seeing as some students passed well, if you could not make 4 credits only, you need improvement yourself. You don't put that on teachers shizzy7: |

loveuGOD:Why did the government wait for waec registration to close before bringing out this policy Are they not supposed to enforce the policy next year since there's no way the parents can pay for their children because registration has ended..... You are just blaming the students, the state government is incompetent after all the governor's child or relative does not attend any of those schools.... |

This is what Ben Muray Bruce was preaching against in his common sense crusade, that when you fail to provide welfare for the young once they will one day come back to hunt you |

Re: Students Attack Osun Radio Station In Violent Protest (Photos) by Funkybabee(f): 12:13pm On Feb 06, 2016 |
in my own opinion they should blame this children and not also, the reason why I said not is that Oga raufu is the one that spoil them before.I remembered during the time he made the announced that he is going to be paying waec fee u can't emerging even olodo paraku is also setting for waec exam then even they can't write a correct sentence no mock exam no any things they just realized now that they suppose to do qualify exam,do u think olodo student will agree to dat now and reason they should blame them is that those children is not serious at all na everyday they are fighting even close their school for long time period |

hotspec:When there is enough money, its compulsory, but in this sorry state of the economy, parents should contribute their own quota,he was the one that has been paying it more than four yrs without conducting any mock exams. There are some states that didnt even pay for any students as a result of poor state of economy eg.oyo state. |

Ogbeni Aregbesola has a very good intention it just that those students didn't think well. The man has just put a challenge to them on having just 4 credits in their mock examination in preparation for their final future career which is a very good assistant to them. But all this violence and distroying attides has shown the kind of students they are. Very irresponsible hoodlums. |
