Six people including a conservation scientist, Sanjay Gubbi and a forestry department employee, Benny Maurius have been reported to be injured while trying to capture a male leopard in the Indian City of Bangalore.

The leopard which had stormed the Vibgyor International school, was so difficult to capture which led to the injury casualties recorded.

This is so common in India for leopards go stroll to public areas as Leopards and other big Cats sometimes stroll into hugely populated areas, and this is bound to increase as a result of human encroachment on animal dwelling habitats. India it should be known has a leopard population of about 12,000 - 14,000.

The struggle to capture the leopard was intense and gruelling as it is took time for the tranquilliser to get into full effect.
