Tension is heightening at Dumso, a community near Kintampo in the Bono Ahafo region, after some agitated youth killed about 80 cattle owned Fulani herdsmen.
Spokesperson for the Dumso community, Haruna Dramani, said the irate youth killed the cattle after the herdsmen called the bluff of the community.
“About four Fulani herdsmen came to the Dumso Township to threaten the youth in the area that if they came anywhere near their cattle, they would deal with them. The youth took up the challenge and went to kill about 80 cattle,” he said.
Haruna added that they fear the herdsmen might retaliate.
The residents of the town had earlier made complaints of cattle destroying their crops to the Police in the area.
They said if nothing was done about the situation, they would begin killing any cattle they found on their farms.
This warning caused the herdsmen to call the bluff of the residents.
But the Kintampo Police Commander Chief Supt. Desmond Owusu Boampong says plans are far advanced to stop the situation from escalating.
He said the Kintampo South District Security Council is currently in a meeting to decide on how to maintain peace and order in the community.
“Currently, the place is calm. We have given the herdsmen a week ultimatum to leave the town,” the Commander told Myjoyonline.com.

Do not sell to their women on market days...they are sizing you up

Encourage your Children to Climb trees and your Palm wine tappers should be carried along. They should report any strange movements immediately, to the chief, and the Vigilante dispatched immediately to investigate..

All water bodies in Dumso-streams, lakes, ponds, etc..should be closely monitored, your enemies love water

Colonise and populate areas of high elevation to give yourselves strategic advantage.

Dispatch messages to neighbouring communities to join your alliance., if they refuse,infiltrate them with your own spies and view them as enemies also( such communities form Forward Operational Bases for your enemies.)

Get your daughters to marry into the neighbouring communities to act as your spies also.

Involve all your Sons and Daughters in the Armed Forces and Govt, to join your struggle. They will do same.

Pre-emptive Raids when they come close to Dumso is allowed, to roughen them up a bit and size up their strengths.

Make alliances with their Enemies in other parts of Ghana...the enemy of your enemy is your friend.

Nobody must sit on the fence, either you are for Dumso or against..anyone suing for peace should be treated like a traitor..

Sustain these until they delete Dumso from their grazing route.

that's wrong. The Fulani people originated from Nigeria you should always feel some form of national sympathy towards them no matter where they are or where they find themselves. I believe if someone like you becomes president you would ask other countries to be killing Nigerians from other ethnic groups.

Am I a true patriot, but I am human 1st, I won't support evil under the guise of Patriotism. I have fulani friends and colleagues...and I have never hidden my views of their rampage from them.
