39 year old Lt.Col. Beltus Kwene was among 12 Cameroonian soldiers whose vehicle hit amine in Tumbum-Kare, Cameroon yesterday February 14th. He died from injuries sustained after the mine attack. He is married with six children.

He once declared"We will defend Cameroon with the last drop of our blood".
