Super Eagles Coach, Sunday Oliseh has declared players will be deployed to positions where they are guaranteed to perform referring to which position best suits Chelsea Midfielder, Mikel Obi in the national team. In an exclusive interview with footballlive.ng, Oliseh insist Mikel is most effective as a central midfielder – the same way he’s deployed by Guus Hiddink at Chelsea – but will be overlooked if he decides otherwise.

The 28-year-old has since returned to the English Champion’s starting line up with the sack of Jose Mourinho and the Nigeria International has also improved his stats.

According to Oliseh, players often opt for choice positions in the national team but stated the rejuvenated Mikel may work his way to the Eagles bench if he fails to fall in line with the team’s objectives.
