For the record... I'm not an Atheist, neither am I a religious bigot. I've always lived by a code, "live as if there is a God and if there is no God, you have nothing to lose but if there is, you have everything to gain". Yes, i'm an Agnostic. I was reminiscing about my ordeal some weeks ago, when I was asked to pray in a function (hehehe... no be me be baba devil o. So yes, I can pray but I don't, except maybe when purge hold me for public. lol). I did the prayer though, that's if you consider talking to yourself praying but watching the others being so focused, I asked myself if I can ever be that devoted again. Since all religion is centered around faith; believing in the supernatural, to believe the unreal or unproven without doubt. Then, if you find it difficult to believe that the gadget you are holding now can turn to bread with some voodoo, you can't actually call yourself a religious person (christain/muslim). Considering that Atheism deals with reality, it's cozy to say Atheist lack faith. Meaning, it's their lack of faith that makes them who they are. Atheist = lack of faith = not believing the supernatural = non-religious =no God. As a friend once said, "they all want us to change but fails to tell us how" can an Atheist become a religious person? 1 Like 1 Share |

Okworigeorge: Well, by making material the claims in the Bible. What I mean is that, if the ridiculous claims and promises in the Bible can be demonstrated without a fault, then atheists would have no leg on which to stand. At the moment, Christians cannot prove that mountains move or that dead men buried weeks ago can be resurrected. They only seem to be capable of retrospectively predicting plane crashes on the internet. The plane crash prediction games don't help. 1 Like |

I think that depends on the reason for becoming an atheist, rather than just embracing rational thought, some people become atheist through bad experiences, disillusionment from their previous faith, indoctrination, maybe a rebellious phase, or even because they may think that the cool kids are doing it. I believe that if a person's atheism is based mostly on emotional reasons then it may be possible to convert them by pandering to their emotions. Of course, this is a very manipulative and despicable thing to do but it's possible. 1 Like |

Just two steps I believe are worth doing in your circumstance. 1. Pray to Him(whoever is He) who created you to guide you. 2. Read all the holy books, you can grab, including Qur'an with open mind toward the truth. |

Christians and other Religious bodies keep telling Atheists to know God but Atheists won't listen. It's like the story of the Rich man and Lazarus. So lecturing Atheists to know God will be futile game until The God they're reluctant to know visits their Consciences. |
