Lol. Tecno agent? Check all my posts, i don't do Chinese phones. I use an iPhone and galaxy s6. I don't hate any phone but I hate the way tecno agents are over hyping their phones. But the truth is gionee m5 is not a better phone than boom j8. I've played with both phones, j8 is more sleek while m5 has a Big nig battery but it is just too bulky for my likeness. Oh and the display sucks... that is for both phones. Why keep releasing 5.5 inch phones with 720p display when they could have just made the screen like 4.7-5 inch, that would give a better PPI. And I still wonder why gionee would think 55k is right price for phone with such terrible display.

oga u can never ever compare an ips LCD to amoled Pls! Even back in the days wen galaxy 2 was still in vogue even with a low ppi of 217 the colours where still vivid and awesome. Me personally am not a fan of big batteries on phones so I cnt tell u I like m5 Buh wen it comes to screen material I will always choose amoled to ips and moreover I bought dat j8 sold it off within 3days cos I hate d display quality with passion and even d touch sensitivity. I got an splus and I've always been happier

Only one speaker is working because the boom j8 has only one speaker, the other one is the microphone, the design is to mimic the iPhone. Iphones also have mono speaker. Does that make it a bad phone? NO. There are lots of flagship more expensive phones with just one speaker (in fact only a few phones have stereo speakers). Same way tecno makes phones with plastic back and cover it with metallic paint and gullible ones will think the phone has a metallic back.

Now I am expecting tecno fans to start Bashing me that their boom j8 have stereo speakers.

Your stupidity is epic, gionee m5 is a scam, I followed the thread from day one and I am still following the thread, the phone lags like its life span depends on it, the two battery that makes it weigh like a bag of rice is the biggest scam to happen in Africa, you are just pained you can't afford this phone even when you love it, so all you do is come in here and bash the users so as to pacify your pathetic self.

1. The screen is not that sensitive, even Tecno m3 is a lot more sensitive. It felt like I was back to using Nokia N97.

2. The software lags and playing games like clash of clans also lags; the screen even makes it more annoying.

3.The major reason I sold it was the size. The phone is really thin but I'm not comfortable using anything above 5.1 inches.

I bought the phone for 42k and also sold it 42k.

I was surprised initially when people were complaining about the screen till I saw someone whose own had the problem.... I think there's a particular batch that has the problem... Mine is very fluid and responsive
