[Press Release] Nigerian Students Top at Ghanaian University Graduation ACCRA, 29th February 2016: The Accra Institute of Technology (AIT), a leading technology-focused private university awarded two Nigerians the top prize during the University’s 9th Graduation Congregation held in Accra over the weekend. In a statement released by the University, Mr. Peter Hunnoho Moses, who graduated with a First Class Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology was judged the overall best student of the graduation class with a cumulative GPA of 3.99. The overall best student in the Female category went to Ms. Odinaka Abel Favour who graduated with a First Class Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a cumulative GPA of 3.90. In his speech to the congregation, which saw the graduation of Bachelor’s degree holders and PhDs, Professor Clement Dzidonu, the President of the University observed that this is a major achievement given that, AIT has the toughest and the highest grading system within the university system in Ghana. ‘To get an A grade in a subject at AIT you must score above 90 and to get a First Class with a cumulative GPA close to the maximum 4.2, means that a student must consistently get A grades across board’, Professor Dzidonu noted.

Hahahahahaha cant stop laughing. . You top in a PRIVATE university in Ghana and you are celebriting. Hahahaha my tommy... . Ghana private universities are MOSTLY for people who couldnt do well in WASSCE. . Nigerians in GHANA PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES doesnt even exceed 20 because there's nowhere nigerians can compete with Ghanaians when comes to academics.(ADMISSION IS BASED ON MERITS;Students who obtained aggregate 6 will be admitted before those who got 7 .Same way those with 7 will be admitted before those with 8...in that order) . Thats why Ghanaian students always emerge winners in WASSCE.. . FYI ; ABOUT 80% OF THE STUDENTS IN THAT SCHOOL ARE NIGERIANS; 15% ARE FROM TOGO,IVORYCOAST ETC andTHE REMAINING 5%ARE PROBABLY FROM GHANA . In this case i dont know why u guys should celebrate just because a nigerian got first class in a school been dominated by nigerians. 1 Like |
