To further shed more lights on the topics open earlier on how much you spend daily for transport/feeding i decided to open up this thread to ask how much your are able to save at the end of every month out of your salary, how and the methods involved in it. So as to help others finding it difficult to save to try and cultivate the habit of saving.

The GOLDEN Rule- "Save before spending".

Prioritise your needs for the month, go for necessities before wants.

I earn 50k and save 20k every month.
Whenever, my siblings or friends ask for my total earning , I sharply tell them its 30k.

I like to save at least 60% of my earnings. I would say anything above 50% is good.

My cost of living is too darn high and my salary is just barely enough to maintain my lifestyle so at the end of the month, I save absolutely Zero Naira.

My savings come from my side business strictly.

I have make of my mind to save 50% of my salary for longterm purpose,30% to save for short term purpose,spend 10% and give 10% to title.
It works 4 me perfectly on my monthly salary.

I'm not a salary earner, so I spend the doe as it comes in coz it always comes in....

i work in a govt establishment as a medical practitioner and i also have a place i work in the evening.

as at last year i was saving 100k every month but this year, i decided to save all my salary . so i have to make do with the little money am being paid where i work in the evening

its not going to be easy but a man has to do what he has to do
