The Osun State governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has approved the appointment of Prince Isaac Adeyeba Ayeni as the new traditional ruler for Erin-Ijesa town in Ori-Ade Local Government Area. The throne became vacant after the demise of late Oba S. A. Adeosun in 1999. The appointment of the 52-year-old engineer as the new Akinla has brought to end the 17-year power tussle. According to the chieftaincy declaration of February 22, 1960, under Section 4(2) of the Chiefs Law 1957, there are three ruling houses in the town, namely Ogbagba-Lawo, Iyandereketa-Sehin, Osefiri Agbojukori and the position of the king is rotational among them.
