How Do I Rid My Android Phone Browsers Of Redirecting Virus. by Nobody: 6:33am On Mar 09, 2016
Salutations tech guru's,

Pls this problem has persisted for sometime now and it's very annoying. Whenever I open any browser on my android device it will start opening multiple search tabs of

http://www.mysearch.com/web?mgct=ds&o=APN12013&buid=DJ005&q=Entertainment.

I have asked google for a solution and it seemed not to work. i.e. clearing the data and caches of my browser but it still persisted. I have also uninstalled the browsers and reinstalled them back from another device, only for the redirecting virus to kick back to life. Pls how can I stop this as it is very annoying and makes me detest and dread browsing on my phone again. Imagine when you type a character and multiple search tabs will begin to open one after the other. I have also tried to unistall any app I installed recently but it didn't stop the problem neither did my 360 Antivirus and adware remover solve the problem. Pls I need a solution.

My solution would be to
root device,
install ES explorer
Download apk of the browser you need fixed.
install system app remover
uninstall system browser with problems
Install new browser apk
See if it works fine
If it doesnt, you need to flash rom.
I suspect your phone runs on custom os

Part of what i did to reduce this problem was to restrict the installation of apps from unverified sources (settings-> security->restrict installation of apps from unverified sources), with this your installer will always prompt you when such apps that are auto downloaded wants to install. Yo

mine also does same thing. Even when i find and delete the folder containing such apps like apus launcher, 9apps, CM security etc. It still doesn't work. What this unveried apps do when you install is earthly annoying- flooding your screen with adverts you don't need, even pornography and even downloading and automatically installing sister apps.

1. Here is how I solved the problem on my own. I downloaded "cm security Antivirus", scanned my phone and deleted what it recognised as virus.
2. CM Security will advise you to download Stubborn Trojan Killer, a very powerful application for that matter, download, install and launch it. It will definitely crush the remaining stubborn virus on your phone.
3. NOTE: This only works if you can root your phone. Since your phone is Infinix, it is rootable. Download latest version of Kingroot, with strong 3g or WiFi, your phone should be rooted once. If you root your phone successfully, proceed to step three.
Step 3 is essential in the sense that some of those applications that are re-installing themselves on your phone are already there, not fresh downloads as you might think. But in order to delete them, you need Root Explorer pro version, you can get it free by using Blackmart app to download it. Root Explorer apk needs your phone to be rooted before it works. And it was the only one that was able to delete those unwanted apps from my phone, others like ES3 File Explorer couldn't delete those apps, not powerful enough.
If you are able to root your phone, this is how to locate to those apps.............

Launch Root Explorer, under Root, click Data, click App. You will see those annoying apps with other apps there but there is something to do before it can be deleted. Mark just one app at a time, when marked, click menu to display options, click Permissions and it will display something like what I attached below. Mark everything under Write and Execute and press OK button. Then try to delete the app after that. Do it repeatedly to apps you don't want. Thanks. I hope it helps.

See them. I told you guys that Ghost Push virus is said to be everlasting if you don't do complete flashing. It doesn't have cure. Just go to an engineer. Tell him that you have done factory reset yet it still comes. Because most of these lazy engineers factory reset your phone and call it flashing. He must flash with complete firmware ( for an MTK phone). Then for other brands like Samsung. He must wipe data and cache before flashing or else Ghost Push virus will upgrade along with the new OS reloaded. I am a phone engineer

Thanks guys, i went the path of downloading and installing Strong Trojan Killer and the improvement has been amazing. No auto adverts that covers the whole or part of my screen, no auto app downloading and installation etc. I just hope this solution remains permanent.

Though i still haven't installed my favourite browsers for fear of the redirecting virus attacking again.

Pls which browsers do you guys deem secure and safe enough for someone just recuperating from the problems i had stated earlier?

I really don't know much about the antivirus... I've had it for less than 2 weeks now. I use opera mini and UC browser.
