There have been speculations going round that President Muhammadu Buhari wants to reshuffle his cabinet. It will be recalled that the ministers were sworn into office in November, and it’s too early to be talking about reshuffling them at this stage. Like the popular Nigerian saying, “Sunday wen go good, na from Friday you go see am.”

While it’s too early to judge the performance of some of the ministers till at least a year in office, some of them have showed that they are overwhelmed by the office and even if you give them the next 10 years, they lack the capacity to turn things around. While some ministers have rolled out roadmaps for their ministries, some have become popular for doing nothing and are always seen welcoming back the president from his foreign trips. While for some, it’s only during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, that we even remember they exist as they are only cabinet members by name. Some have also realised that managing states is a different ball game to managing ministries at the Federal level. Some ministers are also finding it difficult to transform from opposition figures to persons in government as their utterances are giving them away.

How someone who just because he governed a strategic state which by the way was not the best run state, given 3 big ministries to over see is now a case study for management gurus .
The idea of using the first 6 months to experiment on putting people in different ministries is ideally not the best way to start your regime.

Please what do you people think of this government and their not well thought out policies.

Please I am not a fan of ipob, more over ipob doesn't need to burn down nigeria, Nigeria is already on fire, with agatu massacre and ketu human carnage ,the fuel crises, and no light issue what else do you want before you people understand that all doesn't seem to be working with the APC government.

A serving minister was killed by an unqualified driver, a Gen in the army died in an accident while senators and another government official died in unexplained circumstances I think Nigerians should just leave hypocrisy and seek God.

Now you are denying your own words, very bad. Were you not the kid making noise last year that nothing must happen to your dilector else you all will burn down the zoo. You have no shame. You ran away on the Fulani massacre of 19 people in Enugu and the incessant rape of women in Imo, you are just the typical ipob noisemaker. Smh

I have repeatedly said this; Buhari's Ministers are not the problem but their principal who does not see them as partners/ team members in development. Buhari thinks this is a monarchy and everything revolves round him. The Ministers are not given free hand to work and bring their ideas/knowledge to the table. Everyone and everything in the country, today, defers to Buhari, which means that Nigeria is run by the ideas of one man. This is why we are in deep sh!t.

Obj & GEJ did not take us to the promised land, but at least they gave their Ministers room to bring their ideas to governance. This why the likes of El rufai, Aganga, Adeshina, Chukwu, Okonjo-Iweala etc etc were succesful under both Presidents. In Buhari's government, Ministers are to siddon look and wait for Buhari's instructions. As soon as the man travels, government is wound up and everything and everyone awaits his return.
