live4christ: Ojukwu. He was/is so far the most popular/notorious Nigerian, depending on which side you belong. No other national figure comes even close to being discussed nationally. There are so many names in Nigeria that we can't forget, trying to find one name to unite 170million people may be impossible. Like the talking drum, you can only see one side at a time. Mahatma Gandhi of India was assassinated, not everybody in India today honour him for whom he was. In Nigeria, we have names like: Awolowo, Abiola, Obasanjo, Fela Azikiwe, Ojukwu Tafawa Balewa, Ahmadu Bello et al. |
