IMO DEPUTY GOVERNOR CHARGES YOUTH ON SELF RELIANCE

Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere, has charged youth to work hard towards becoming self-reliant, insisting key to success is adding value to one’s life through development of gift and skills.

Prince Madumere made made this call yesterday at FSP Park in Owerri during the reception ceremony organised by Mr. and Mrs. Irobi Darlington after dedicating their beloved daughter to God at Living Praise Tabannacle, Akwakuma, Owerri, Imo State.

The number two citizen said he was at the occasion to identify and rejoice with Mr. Irobi and wife for God's blessings upon them. He however urged them and other parents to train their children in the way of the Lord so that when they grow they will not depart from it as he prayed God to protect and provide for them so as to nurture the children to any level they wish.

Speaking further, Prince Madumere encouraged guests and well-wishers who were majorly youths to be self-reliant by development their gift and skills.

He reminded them that the only way to remain relevant is to add value to themselves and be useful to themselves and the society.
His word, "there is hardly anyone who cannot learn skills in various areas. Again, there is no person who is not blessed with a gift but what matters is to develop them to the extent people begin to seek your input in those areas they are needed."

Continuing, he emphasized the need for education and called on the youths to take the opportunity given to them by Owelle Rochas Okorocha led government through the Free and qualitative education policy.

He therefore admonished the youth of Imo State and beyond to shun the idea of diminishing their potentials by limiting themselves by failing to improve themselves. He stressed that everyone is a potential contributor to the greatness of the society.
