Japan is a model country. If it were not for the series of natural disasters that often sets the country back, China should be playing a second fiddle to them.
I read an impressive and heartwarming report early this year about Japan's railway authorities that kept a certain route running because of a single student passenger who lives in a very remote region that is accessible only by train. This girl takes the train to school and back everyday, and later became the sole passenger on that route, because her home is in a very remote region.

The rail authorities had a meeting, and decided that they will keep the route in operation until this single passenger graduates from school! I saw pictures taken of that girl as she waited, boarded and read her books in the train while in transit. She was the ONLY passenger throughout. It brought tears to my eyes! Imagine the authorities operating at a loss over a single student! This is a country where the life and comfort of it's citizens is the number one priority of its government.

Also worthy of note is Japan's resolve never to grant entry into the country, to people of a certain religion.

Every serious minded person must pay adequate attention to the values, work ethics, temperament of the Japanese people. They're a wonderful group of people.

I've been opportuned to work alongside these Japs. Their dedication and unsupervised, personal commitment to excellence, truth and honour, reformed a new character in me.

It's consider rude for one to come late to a meeting in Japan. Their trains must give a lateness slip to their passengers so as to avoid them being embarrassed in their work places. It's that serious an offence to be late to a meeting.

Japan is a must - visit for ME.

well is actually a curse (for alarm) for them. lack of population growth in Japan is a disaster probably worse than hiroshima nuclear disaster.

one of the main reason China has overtaken them is lack of population. China can do without export but Japan can't do without export as it population can't contain the surplus.
