TheGoodJoe:The argument was that Man city over paid for Stones. Everton dupped Guardiola and Man city in that deal. I asked you if Stones was worth 50M you said yes! Your point was that he had good feet and in his first game he had 96% pass accuracy. I asked you if he was better than Umtiti and Mustafi whose combined fee is below 50m, you said yes! You claimed he had better pass accuracy than Mustafi then at Valentia. Don't tell me you've forgotten so soon. Just a few keywords, I will pull out your quotes 2 Likes 1 Share |

goldfish80: Your rating is totally off. Gundogan can not be better than Mikhytarian. I totally disagree. From his time at Sharkhtar to Dortmund, Mikhytarian was crazy genius. Baily Otamendi is close but I will take Otamendi because of his ball playing skills. One of the best today. However, Baily is faster. At the moment, Mata is better than Silva. Silva is aging and creating little to nothing. Mata creates far better and scores more goals. Rojo is far ahead of Clichy. No comparison there. Rojo is made brilliant. Clichy is now weak and aging. I repeat, Mourinho has the better team. It is a myth saying he would do wonders with the current aging City team. |

goldfish80: Is not about overpaying. We wanted an English Center half that fitted Pep's philosophy. Players are mad expensive now. You can not expect to get English players of that caliber cheap. That is why Sterling who was worth no way near that price got that much. As long as you are going for English top players, you pay through your noses. We suffered this with Sinclair, Delph and Rodwell. As for Me, find top quality young teens from other countries. Groom them in the academy and make them beat the home grown quota instead of fighting for English players. |

goldfish80: No one is debating if Stones can pass. The guy can. No one is debating if he is a good ball playing defender. He is. The problem Stones has is that his natural defending is weak. If we are not creating chances and controlling the game, he becomes a liability. That was why he came under heavy criticism and Valencia. |

TheGoodJoe:The heart beat of that Dortmond side that dominated Germany was Guondogan. When he was a year out of action due to injury, Dortmond escaped relegation by the whiskers The new midfield lynchpin Tuchel have groomed is Julian Weigl. Watch out for that boy. Mata can't get into the Spanish national squad ahead of Silva or even a fit Carzorla. Otamendi/Bailey. I rated Otamendi greater or equal to Bailey. I domt need to tell you about Otamendi's reputation from his days at Porto and later Valencia. His role at the 2014 world cup with Argentina making a final appearance. whatever Bailey brings to the table, Otamendi brings alot more. I would rather have Clichy at left back than Rojo. This man city team is not as bad as your making them out to be. They have simply regressed under Guardiola. These are world class players. 2 Likes |

goldfish80: Clichy is an aging left back. Simple. Also, Rojo is more versatile can also play as a Central defender. His is better than Clichy. There is no debate there. Silva gets into the Spanish squad based on his history. Not current form. Anyone watching footie lately will know Mata is a wrecking machine compared to Silva. Gundogan's rating there is history, not current form. From Dortmund to this season and the season before, Mikhytarian is better. The Man City team is as bad when you have five defenders over thirty and two defensive midfielders over thirty. That is bad. Silva is also over thirty. It is an aging team. |

goldfish80:Same way Liverpool did not hold a gun before we bought Sterling. No club forced us to buy Delph, Rodwell and Sinclair. The EPL has their rules of teams playing English players. So clubs buy their overpriced players. |

TheGoodJoe:Silva is getting old and Mata is getting young abi? I've seen David Silva own games this season. If you feel Mata is in better form than Silva, that should tell you the manager at Man city is not doing a good job. He simply cannot get the best out of his players. Guardiola is being exposed in England. He had it easy at Barcelona and Bayern. The true test of his managerial acumen is in the Epl. In his post match interviews, you could read from his body language that he's fed up and bored. It doesn't look like he wants to be at Man city anymore. He's just knackered. 3 Likes 1 Share |

TheGoodJoe:It's the home grown rule. The player does not really have to be a native. Just like Iheanacho is considered home grown. Fabregas, Mustafi and Pique are home grown as well. It's irresponsible paying £50M for a pub defender. 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe: Whaaaat? You need to give unreserved apology to Man City FC for belitling their team. Man city team has the best players in every department more than any other team In EPL, even their reserved (or second team) team can still compete and chanlege for the title if properly managed Some of us knew that this will happen ( to Pep's man city team) it's a matter of "when not if" ,when he sent Joe Hart away from Etihad, now we been vindicated to those who criticised us then I have said it before and I'm saying again, pep will regret for letting Joe Hart go BTW,it is only Pogba and De Gae that can bench first eleven in man city team ( dis is not to disrespect man u team) OK let me add Mikhytarian join ...and the question i want to ask u are, is this not the man city team that won ten matches straight up? ...so the players suddenly became aging when they start loosing? Abeg we no go buy dat one Next.. . |

Segadem:Actually not supporting the Goodjoe on this one but he has made a point about man city players being old, to be honest on paper man city has better players than United by a million miles however looking closely to how they actually play. Man city players are actually aging. Maybe they could have gotten away with it in other leagues but definitely not EPL. Time for Pep to do the needful. And oh, stones no sabi ball neither does sterling. |

goldfish80:Hmmmm. I have my reservations about the Cameroonians, to me I felt bukina faso made it easy for them. Maybe if they played the team of 2013, they could have had it tougher. That said they are a decent team who need to score goals otherwise they will be beaten over time |

I don't know why a particular emphasis is laid on Iheanacho not performing in that game. The whole City team was woeful! There was little Iheanacho could do at that point in the game. The midfield was so much in a disarray that they could hardly put up simple passes together. Plenty of misplaced passes. Iheanacho at a point even came back deep to initiate his own attack but again the final ball back to him was poor and that chance went. You guys think Iheanacho is a super human that once he came in he would score a brace or an heart-trick? Mancity had a nightmare of a game. As for Pep. I recall last season when Klopp warned that he (Pep) would be overwhelmed when he comes to the EPL. He has been demystified by the EPL. 2 Likes |

onirugbon: I don't agree with this your under probation list. Firstly, Victor Osimhen can not be said to be under probation because he has not even been tried. Same goes for Onyekuru. Secondly, You cannot classify Omeruo as a player under probation as he is a tested and proven player. Moses Simon, haven seen him for a couple of games. We have been able to size him up and knowing his capabilities, he would for now remain a fringe player. Oghanekaro Etebor! How can you say this lad is under probation? The only probability that I see in him is which club will come for him next and which position would most suitable for him in the Super Eagles. IMO the difference between Etebor, Iheanacho and Iwobi the clubs where they play. As for talent and abilities, these three are almost at par. 2 Likes 2 Shares |
