Also, the one he (Onazi) made to Iheanacho for the 4th goal against Cameroon in Uyo.

One thing here is when you don't like a player you easily over look his positive contributions.

Thank you very much

But Onazi started from the Bench against Poland.

He was just recovering from injury.Besides that was a friendly.

After all Mikel hasn't started any of our recent games

I will be expecting a goal today from either of iwobi VicMo or Iheanacho angry

With Ndidi present Joel will still start ahead of Onazi. No mid-fielder apart from Mikel and Ndidi can keep Joel on the Bench.

if i continue to dey talk about this Onazi, people will feel i be onazi agent...joel to me is still yet to convince

That guy brought nothing new to the team. If I was rohr I will stick to the boys that helped me qualify since their competition has nothing new to offer. And to think his return was so over hyped.

Likely. My point is not starting him because he has a point to prove to the English fans.

Going by the starting line up we have seen here for the game, Rohr is parading his starting 11.

yes, but things might change in this line before Croatia game

I agree with you, if not for his longterm absence, he should have been in contention for vice captaincy.
Based on years since debut na senior baller for eagles

captain no be by years of service, Echiejile and Musa should be ahead of Onazi if is like that

ENG VS NIG

I expect Rohr to approach this game just the way he set out against Argentina.
4-2-3-1 in the first half and 3-5-2 in the second.

Wishing the lads all the best.

Let's see how it goes. In the Serbia match the commentator said Nigeria is soft at the sides. Hope to see us play with grit especially the full backs. Cos even the Croatian scout has taken note of our softness in that dept

Ebuehi need to be a starter

Against quick players, Shehu will struggle. He is not quick of d blocks, unless he sits back without supporting the attack. I'm not also comfortable with his positioning. Most times at d wrong side & ends up committing a foul. Today is d 1st exam. For those saying Ogu will be dropped. I laugh, Ogu brings what Agu brings + goals & aerial power. It will be difficult to drop such a player.
Aina & Agu dey go home. Oh i forgot Aina is home already .

I support your point of view. But Agu always play ahead of Ogu in the team. That is a sign he is rated higher by the coach. Just the way he has been playing Joel obi since in his first team. Our coach doesn't waste time in getting rid of a player he has no need for smiley

Game day want to see team cohesion, discipline and an attack that creates chances. England are favorites but I reckon we will give them a game. No too concerned about the result of the match though a win would be nicegrin but I will be looking at how well we play. My prediction a draw

Seems Aina is out pity cos I like him but in fairness he hasn't blown us away with any exceptional performance his time will come.

Let's go super eagles

Joel Obi is a good player, the problem with him is adaptability. As you may know, the Serie A is a very niche league, it suits certain type of players and Joel has over modified his game for the Serie A that he looks like a fish out of water outside Italy.
I feel 2 weeks might be too short to re-modify his game, it is what it is. If the going was good, he is the kind of player you want coming in from the bench to close out games, in my opinion.

I have a sneaky feeling that playing alongside Mikel obi today will bring out the best in joel obi

Just as people are overlooking the contributions of Elderson out of undue dislike. He's yet to do badly for us of recent, yet alot wants him dropped just like that.

Fight ke? Who Akpeyi wan fight? Akpeyi na gentle man.

Rudiger is jittery on the ball and that's why he is synonymous to Akpeyi. Give him a back pass and see him dance alanta

How he is even a pro-amazes me.

If Rohr drops Ogu for Agu, Etebo or Joel, me, I will shout nepotism here.

None of those three has done anything spectacular enough to unseat Ogu, if we are all looking at things reasonable.

Whether in club or National team, Ogu trumps all three players, so, all this talk of Rohr likes this one, that one is a golden boy, this one is a workhorse is rubbish

None of them is better than Ogu by any stretch.

I disagree particularly where today's game is concerned he is a liability with his lack of pace and recovery.

He will be easily mastered by Rueben Loftus.

No they played in 94 after the WC when England won by 1 goal to nil
It was a great game featuring new players like Kanu but I obviously was not impressed cause we should be beating teams like England all day every day

I know you cannot understand what I am saying, that is why you will quote me and be writing off point.

Football is Mathematics, why didn't Argentina win us in November? Football is Mathematics, how did Spain crash out in group stage in 2014? Football is Mathematics, how come Iceland is in the World Cup and Italy isn't?

Football is Mathematics, why isn't Niangollan in the Belginan national team?

Football is not mathematics, because contrary to the off point argument you made here, coaches do not always look to stats to field players. They consider other things. If it was by stats, why will a coach switch players for different games? Why not play the same people all the time because they have better stats?

Abeg, if you don't understand a point, don't bother quoting it.

You have changed the context.

We ate talking about individual player assessment not team assessment.

Two completely different things.

This thread is moving at the speed of light. People, pls be summarising your points.
As for our friendly tomorrow, I wish Eagles can at least disgrace the English team. I will be watching the match with biased ITV or BBC commentary, and I know how they will hype their players. I want to see us dribble them, and score spectacular goals. Oh...and please no Harry Kane goal. I'm not a fan of that guy.

I'll.be in Wembley later today.

Expect a performance with cohesion and tactical astuteness but don't expect us to win. Just want us to play well.

If we win I'll be in Warri next week end
