Weekend is a period we all always look forward to. The phrase TGIF is one we cannot always wait to use. But even after having the whole weekend to yourself, do you still always feel stressed out or unfulfilled by Monday Morning with chores and important issues still unattended? Well, this may be happening because you do not plan your weekend well. Below are some ways you can relax, let out the week’s stress and also feel fulfilled after each weekend.
1) Attend Events
If you are in Lagos and Abuja, lucky you, as there are arrays of events that are always fixed for weekends. From Concerts to Comedy Shows, you can find them out online or events websites. If you are looking free events, you can find them online too.
2) Spend Time with Family and Friends
It’s been long you have spent quality time with your family or friends; now is a good time to catch up and have some fun moments with them. Go shopping with family or friends, go see a movie with them or discover new hangout spots. Invite them to events you know they would be interested in or accept their invitations.
3) Take a Mini Vacation
Attend events in another town, visit friends, family or loved ones you have not seen in awhile. You can set out on the trip in the morning and be back by evening or even spend a night or two there. Unwind from the long week of stress and activities. Sleep, take a quick vacation by booking a hotel within your vicinity, or if you are in Lagos – try top hotels like Radisson Blu (http://www.jovago.com/en-gb/nigeria/o4847/radisson-blu-anchorage-hotel-lagos) or Intercontinental Hotel ( Intercontinental Hotel), here you can be treated with spa sessions and good food.
4) Read a book
Learn something new; add to your pool of knowledge or vocabulary. Whether it’s a romantic novel, thriller, inspirational or motivational book, this will keep you going all weekend.
5) Eat Well
Feed well, your body needs all the nutrients and energy it can get to supplement the long week of stress. Consume enough fruits and vegetables too, they help replenish the blood.
6) Prioritize
The weekend is just 48 hours and you need to admit you cannot have 72 hours to complete that task. So you need to attend to more important issues like chores, preparing for the week ahead or any other personal errands you need to run, even if it sometimes require skipping hanging out with friends.
