Good evening distinguished ICPC Corp members!!!
It's a great priviledge to be with you as the current president of this group. Our union shows that you attach as much importance as I do to the fight against corruption, and to the role of good governance in ensuring inclusive development. The past excos have done really well but we can do more and there are many areas we need to tackle together:
1) IMPROVING GOVERNANCE AND TACKLING CORRUPTION THROUGH PROGRAMS.
Corruption has inflicted much pain on the poor: they are the ones in need of the public goods. They cannot obtain services just because they can't bribe their way through but they need to be educated as well to be strong.
What we have done together during the last two sensitization was sensational..we still have to reach out to other markets, schools and especially organizations via media..we can also assist the school's with study materials when necessary.
The current excos will do everything humanly possible in collecting materials from #ICPCNIGERIA for better programs and intensive materials to meet out needs.
2) PREVENTING CORRUPTION IN OUR OPERATIONS AS ICPC MEMBERS.
Charity they say begins at home..let's work hard to ensure that our own operations are free of corruption. We work under a comprehensive code of conduct so that we can raise awareness of our professional obligation and personal responsibility to prevent fraud and corruption in our homes and respective offices.
3)NOT REGULAR TO CDS MEETINGS
We do not intend to put any #icpccds Corp members on meeting with ZI or LI as regard to queries on not been regular to meetings...no no no.. But we are being targeted now by them...some batch A Corp members told LI yesterday that batch B Corp members don't attend CDS meetings and that we need serious query..which prompted our coordinator into taking emergency attendance which some of us here can testify of..But notwithstanding I pleaded on our behalf with her on issues most of us were facing..especially transportation.
Truth be told we are being targeted now..But we will scale through and God will help us.
Let's act and take decisions together..to avoid sell-out..or Judas in the case of HIV cds group president who faced query last week.
Lastly, let us take pride in our accomplishments and I would like to commend all ICPC members, past members (batch A) and former president and excos for their contributions, dedication to the fight against corruption and on behalf of batch B members, we wish you all a successful POP...and greater and better jobs awaits you all in the Labour market...as we await the newly batch A corps members that will be posted to port harcourt.
Thank you!!!
