Thank God for Saraki trial at CCT - now we know what constitutes the more than 70% recurrent expenditure we have been recording in our annual budgets since 1999.

I hope people with access to all the data can break down the national spending figures since 1999. The percentage of recurrent expenditures that go to salaries, allowances and up-keep of the President, Vice-President, Ministers and the National Assembly.

For instance the NASS is made-up of 469 elected officers while the Executive arm of government is made up of roughly 36 Ministers, the President, the Vice President and other public staff.

It will be a great idea to know the exact number of all these public servants and what % of the recurrent expenditure go to them. Past Presidents, Vice-Presidents, Senate-President and Speakers have unacceptably fat pension packages. These people are just the few of us yet they take the largest share leaving over 170 million people to fight for crumps.
