There has been this argument between me and my friends about how much does the Nigerian presidents gets as a monthly salary,some says 100 thousand naira,same say 500 thousand per month some says 1million naira,does anyone knows the exact amount the president gets as salary also with the governors ,

Thought someone said OBJ earned 350k mothly as salary, Yar Adua deserves to be paid 5 thousand naira only, seriously the guy is supposed to be slammed with declining productivity and demoted ASAP.

At the moment, the President earns N3.51 million per year, Vice President (N3.03 million), Minister (N2.02 million), Minister of State (N1.95 million) and Special Adviser (N1.94 million), Governor (N2.22 million), Deputy Governor (N2.11 million), and Commissioners (N1.33 million).

The Nigerian National Assembly has approved an annual basic salary of N3.5 million (about US$ 30,000) for President Umaru Yar’Adua, according to Friday’s edition of most Nigerian newspapers.

Under the new dispensation, the basic annual salary of the President is N3,514,705 as against the former N1.405 million.

This is besides allowances which bring the total remuneration of the President in a year to N10.899 million (about US$ 93,000).
