This is what you call “One step at a Time” and like a story out of a fairy tale book, Nollywood star Mercy Johnson Okoje came to the movie industry not knowing what to expect, all she had was a raw Talent but before you blink your eyes she is a Star! Mercy Johnson’s hard work and raw talent paid off and she became a Star with good money, a far cry from the ordinary girl that once hawked food on the streets, but this was just the beginning.

Mercy Johnson like the average Nigerian girl also wanted to settle down with a man, get married and start having kids of her own, again this dream of hers became fulfilled when she met Prince Odi Okojie during her first trip to Europe courtesy of German based Ehizoya Golden Entertainment. Mercy Johnson got married and is currently a mother of three kids, but that is not the end of this story, because her husband Prince Odi Okojie is now into politics and from all indication he is planning to run alongside one of PDP flag bearers Pastor Ize-Iyamu, as his Deputy.

If this becomes a reality and Pastor Ize-Iyamu actually wins, then it makes a lot of sense to assume Prince Odi Okojie would run for the governor of Edo State in 8yrs time and if he wins, then Mercy Johnson from a very humble beginning will be the first lady of Edo State. Some people reading this might conclude that this is nothing but wishful thinking, but that is also the story of Mercy Jonson if you actually know where she is coming from. As long as there is life, and a strong belief in what you are doing your dreams are possible. Also, from some of the pictures here, you can see Mercy Johnson and her husband mixing with not just a very heavyweight in Edo politics, but actually Nigeria’s very own Mr Fix It, Anthony Anenih. Whatever you conclude or think of this story, one thing is for sure the Nigerian youths are no longer sitting by the sidelines but are taking their destines in their own hands
