Social rapport - TGIF party at the end of every month in Clubs (we literarily "rent" an entire club for this event here) plus periodic visits to cool places in Nigeria.

Dressing - My landlord once asked, "Oga abeg help me with my AC" I told him I'm not a technician. He said but I dress like one. My point is in my line of work you are free to dress the way you like casual smart. I'm always in sneakers,Jeans/Chinos and T shirt or shirt that i always roll the sleeves up. I only dress corporate when meeting a Client.

Internet: This is my first love with my place of work. Gosh! the speed is killing. You can stream an entire movie without a break 90% of time. We are free to access any web page. Except for the usual culprits like pornography site and betting sites, you can access any social media platform, gaming sites, Torrent sites etc. I filled up my 2 TB hard drive with movies (HD), music, documentaries etc in less than 3 months...

Traveling: I now have 5 Visas courtesy of my office.

Salary: Above all, Alert ni koko. The pay is not really good sha...

free wifi, the internet is like the speed of light lots of beautiful girls because it is a federal university, salary alerts will never end ontill i reach the age of retirement and thats a whole long time.
salary will start coming on the twenty fifth as promised by buhari.although we receive salary on the twenty second during jonathan.
at the end of the year we get enough goodies from federal government. the twenty four hours light na die. that is why i hardly complain when Nigerians complain about power because university of Benin got twenty four hours light

My boss is a pastor so there is no playing around me. He travels a lot, and that means am the boss of myself.

It affords me d opportunity to practicalise what i studied in school, also d respect I get from d ppl being d boss. U go wan feel like an idol though. I no dey overuse my power sa. Lol

I love the myriad of training sessions, my supervisor who makes it a pleasure to work, my colleagues who always make work fun by throwing jokes here and there, the flights I usually catch to Lagos and Abuja for training programs and most importantly, the enumeration which just caps it all nicely..

i love my boss(shes a female, disciplined,principled married woman wit cute kids) NB:av always blived female bosses are wicked and inconsiderate but working wit her showed me not all female bosses are harsh and hostile to staffs.


my salary is paid on time which is unusual of private schools.

my duties as a secretary/admin officer is not stressful

its close proximity to my house.(200 naira bike fare to nd fro daily) 12minutes frm my house to work

its flexible and stressfree.(i close btw 4-5pm daily and i av my weekends to rest including holidays)

it allows me plan and monitor my kids(daycare services is available when needed)

i get little incentives when my boss needs me to do extra work which is not related to my duties( am a multitasker)

The only thing I like about my job is the children. I teach teenagers and though they are troublesome sometimes they are fun and they make me smile that's all. Pay is pathetic though like in many kereje schools.

I won't mind a lecturing job though
