1. Reuben Agboola

Reuben Omojola Folasanje Agboola was born in Camden, London. His family moved to Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire when he was a schoolboy where he played for Cheshunt’s youth teams whilst also attending Southampton’s London Selection Centre. In July 1978, he joined Southampton as an amateur before signing as a professional in April 1980, having made his reserve team debut in April 1979.

He played as a traditional left back, making a total of 268 league appearances in a 13-year career in the Football League, and made nine appearances for Nigeria between 1991 and 1993, appearing at the 1992 African Cup of Nations.

Agboola was first selected by coach Clemens Westerhof for Nigeria whilst with Sunderland, appearing in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Ghana on 13 April 1991, thus becoming one of the first non-Nigerian born players to represent his native country. The “Super Eagles” qualified for the 1992 African Cup of Nations in Senegal, and made it to the semi-finals, where they were defeated by Ghana; Nigeria then beat Cameroon in the third place play-off. He made a total of nine appearances for Nigeria, seven in the Nations Cup and two in World Cup qualifying matches.

3 Peter Osaze Odemwingie

Peter Osaze Odemwingie (Russian; born 15 July 1981) is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a forward and winger for Bristol City on loan from Premier League club Stoke City.

Odemwingie grew up in Russia and Nigeria and began his career with Bendel Insurance in the Nigeria Premier League. He then earned a move to European football with Belgian side La Louvière where he spent three seasons before moving to French side Lille. Odemwingie scored 26 goals for Lille which prompted Lokomotiv Moscow to pay a fee of £10 million for his services in July 2007. He scored 23 times in three-and-a-half years for Lokomotiv before leaving for English side West Bromwich Albion in August 2010. He scored 30 Premier League goals for the Baggies which won him three Premier League Player of the Month awards. A failed move to Queens Park Rangers saw him fall out of favour with Steve Clarke and he was sold to Cardiff City in August 2013 for a fee of £2.25 million. He spent six months at Cardiff before joining Stoke City in a player-exchange with Kenwyne Jones in January 2014.

Odemwingie made his debut for the Nigeria national football team in 2002 and has represented the country over 60 times, including at two World Cups and four Africa Cup of Nations, as well as winning silver at the 2008 Olympics.

Leon Balogun (born 28 June 1988) is a German-born Nigerian professional football defender who plays for 1. FSV Mainz 05.

Club career

He made his Bundesliga debut on 19 April 2009 for Hannover 96 in a game against Hamburger SV.[2]

After his contract with 2. Bundesliga side Fortuna Düsseldorf had been expired in summer 2014, he was without a club for three months until he joined fellow leaguer Darmstadt 98. He signed a contract until the end of the 2014–15 season.

International career

Born to a Nigerian father and German mother, Balogun was called up by Nigeria for a March 2014 friendly against Mexico as a replacement for Joseph Yobo. Balogun entered at the half, but was injured after 20 minutes in a collision with signage on the touchline. He fractured his foot and will miss 2–3 months after surgery. However, he later confirmed to news media that his injury won't require surgery.[5][6]

On 25 March 2015, he played his second game for Nigeria in a 1–0 loss against Uganda. He played his third game for the country on the 13th of June, 2015 when he featured in a 2–0 win over Chad in the opening game of qualifying for the 2017 African Nations Cup.
