I have really observed this trend, especially with people that graduated with a 2.2 grades and below, they would smartly omit their grades when preparing their CVs. For instance a 2.2 graduate is most likely to write "second class (honors)" instead of "second class honors (lower division)" on his CV. My question is why is this so? Since if eventually u are being called for interview u would definitely be asked. I believe recruiters would most likely sideline ur application because of this omission. What do u think?

It depends on personality because 2.2 is still very much accepted in the labour market. If u truly believe in ur potential, there is no Need hidden ur class of degree so far it is not 3rd class or pass. I have seen many 2.2 graduates doing great exploit and excel in their different fields. The only thing needed is confidence and ability to sell urself to potential employers.

bottom line if putting 2.2 on your cv will cost you an employment cut it off

When the system places emphasis on certificates and not the product quality, who wants to be left out? Its disguise and it works for many, myself inclusive. When I float my company, soon, I'll be more interested in the applicant's quality rather than their certificate. There's a lot more to benefit from 2.2 and 3rd class grads than we think. #proudly 2.2 and am pulling strings.

but in my experience i discoverd most of the 2.2 are very smart and brillant in most cases more than the 2.1 and with all due respect even the some 1st class from those schools whose all in the departments are all first class, hence i have learnt to give even those with passes to an oppurtunity to come show me their content and not paper work, i wlmthere suggest that every employer should deviate from the traditional mtd of screening they do based university grades

Hiring managers and recruiters often times don't look at your grade. I've seen folks with zero formal or college degrees earning 6 figure salaries.
