He was a feared cop during the time of GEJ and the PDP. Some saw him as a no-nonsense fearless super cop, others saw him the attack dog of the PDP and GEJ. He was in Rivers at a time and gave the then governor - Amaechi headaches. At a time, Amaechi was said to have left the state capital because of Mbu and relocated his office to Abuja where he governed the state from. Its been long we (Nigerians) heard from him. Is Mbu still in active service? Which Zone is he currently in? 1 Like

He is now an AIG (assistant inspector general of police) the highest rank to be attained in the police force without political consideration or influence. The whole police colleges report to him. |

dubemnaija2:No , DIG is a political appointment. Of all the senior police officers from a geo political zone, only one is appointed DIG. Sometimes it is based on seniority, other times it is on political expediency. For example, Mike Okiro was appointed DIG, straight from commissioner, skipping the AIG rank. |
