You are asking "where they even see this man from?" Well, he is a Buharist to the core. Being with Buhari 2003, 2007 and 2011 when you guys were calling Buhari serial loser. And in 2015 he remained resolute and campaigned for him, debunking the religious fanatic tag against Buhari. How would Buhari not reward one of his staunchest supporters?
