Today's plenary session at the house of reps experienced a breakdown of order after PDP house members refused to allow Petroleum minister, Ibe Kachikwu entrance into the house.

The House of Representatives onn Monday began a special session to deliberate on the Federal Government’s announcement of an increase in the price of Petrol. All hell broke loose when the minister for Petroleum resources, Ibe Kachikwu was invited to brief the lawmakers on the petroleum sector.

The PDP lawmakers erupted in shouts,waving the National flag and singing protest songs and were hell bent on not allowing the Minister entry into the Representatives’ chamber.

Kachikwu had earlier on May 11 announced a new price band of 145 Naira per litre of petrol, linking the hike to the difficulty in getting foreign exchange and the inability of the nation’s refineries to produce at optimum capacity to cushion scarcity that has lasted for over five months.

Does it mean APC need clarifications while PDP already accepted without explanation?
