I can agree,
People using zain 3g aint as much as those using mtn.
Therefore,making zain 3g alot faster

My bad! I dont even know my number. I just checked. its celtel and its 0808.sim is colour red. It doesn't exceed 45kb/sec while downloadin wit jap but on a consistent 40 - 43 kb/sec almost round d clock of d day.

I did an experiment.

Brought two nokia N70's,both were using zain.

Was at ma crib in ikeja,lag.

I noticed 1 had 3g n the othr didnt.

It is true Zain 3G for now is activated for post paid lines only and prepaid users considered to be high end users and all this is due to capacity issues. The prepaid lines that are on the 3g network got there by one of two possibilities

1. They got lines at the shops meant for 3G data cards or modems or

2. They got it on their already activated lines when the consultant at the shop (by discretion) submits the line for the acticvation profiling the prepaid customer as a high end user.

can u explain exactly wat u min by a high end user?

someone that recharges a lot on his line. . . and has high activity on the network. Or someone that the consultants know to be a potential high user. Like a bank worker or oil worker or business man.

Pls I did not say it is restricted to these kind of people. 'cos I know a lot of people will say I said it is only for people that have jobs. I have not said that

over 92% of zain customers are on prepaid. so you want to tell us the company will ignore a potential income stream for a meagre fraction of postpaid customers who are very busy to even have the time to use the internet. no wonder the company is broke.
my friend this company had lack competent engineers. period. this 3G issue got nothing to do with subscribers. their gprs is only funtional in few areas. 3G no be garri.
