I beg to disagree in the mosst respectful manner. don't think this is true. The writer I know who seems to have the deepest insight into the female psyche is a male. Just about all his books reflect a deep understanding of the woman in all her strengths and weakness and no he's not a doctor of any sort but was a journalist: Douglas Kennedy. Even on other topics males have excelled. I think to say women make better writers is a blanket statement that lacks empirical evidence.
