Very! Verily, Verily i say unto thee! For many of your customers, your website will be their first impression of your business. Your website gives your customers an idea of what the business is about, who it is for and who runs it. You wouldn't go to a business meeting without looking your best - and your website should be exactly the same.

How much should I be looking to spend on a website?

There's no simple answer to this - the functionality of websites can vary enormously. A well-designed website with basic and good functionalities could cost you as low as N25,000 while premium packages could cost you well up to N100,000 or more whereas an e-commerce websites with hundreds and hundreds of thousands of images and a payment gateway could run into millions to design and develop ALONE (An e-shop cost far less)

NOTE: Disregard website quacks who will desperately want to charge you N5,000 or N10,000 to develop your business website - Domain plus hosting ALONE could cost up to N10,000. So many clients/businesses have been badly 'burnt'!) .
