Ugosample: Educate yourself my lil sisi. Immigrant is a word used to describe travellers that are poor and who are seeking help. This term is mainly used on Africans and people of Eastern Europe. Expatriate on the other hand is used when people from well-to-do background travel to other countries to work. This term is mainly used on whites 2 Likes |

bee444: You are the one who need to educate yourself Of course i know about that allegation, and have read countless articles about immigrants from third world condemning the class distinction, but what I am saying that in the real sense of it, they mean the same thing. Both refers to people who have left their country, period 1 Like |

manny4life: I don't want to support mediocrity but I have been appalled by the aeroplanes some popular foreign airlines use on Lagos route. Not much cleaner than this pic here. I always wondered if they ever use such planes on, London-Chicago, Istanbul-Dubai, Paris-New York or Frankfurt-Tokyo and other non-African routes. From experience, I have never seen such. 2 Likes |

EddyNumerouno: It is not Arik that is phucked up, it is Nigeria. Do you think they would try it in Europe or America. They can only bring their standards low in a country that does not have standards. So, basically, it is Nigeria that phucked up. 2 Likes 1 Share |

I see no reason why Arik should not get things fixed before hand as they happen to be the most expensive airline in Nigeria. Their tickets is almost times two of others, the likes of Air peace and Medview and there laters maintain their planes and staff very well. Rubbish! 2 Likes |

Nnemuka: Just as YOUR country is one useless country and other nationalities treat YOU as useless, not so While not condoning the reported mess, we need to look beyond the mess to understand and prevent recurrence, not so? What is the role of the regulatory agencies in this? Where is the CHANGE by the Transport minister after one year in all of this? How is the corruption that WE all participate in RESPONSIBLE for this sad experience Blaming OTHERS is the easiest part but that will NEVER fix the problem, or will it? 2 Likes 2 Shares |

bee444: You see why I have problem with folks like you. Your quest for mediocrity is so insatiable you are willing to look for every narcotic including racism to get even. Better wake up and realise the world is a global village and there are no more skin barriers and standards. Arik collected his money paid in the same currency as a Nigerian on that flight. That a Nigerian sees nothing wrong in it is an indictment on Nigerians and not the man who observed it. Now I recognise that we are not a developed country but where I will draw the line between good and bad, decent and poor is between products and services. I can understand a low quality made in Nigeria shoe, automobile, electric stove, bottle of milk. But I cannot understand and tolerate poor quality service simply because the prime driver of good or bad service is attitude. The quality projected by Nigerian businesses and business men and women is a reflection of our attitude and values. That plane was not made by Arik. How much does it cost to upholster that seat. It can be done overnight. For goodness sake that seat can generate N150,000 in revenues in a day. You may not be able to build a house but when you rent you should be able to sweep the yard. If you don't and a neighbour points it out you will be foolish to start flying the racism kite. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

That the planes were bought in 2007 doesn't make them old...They're still very recent as long as they conform with the technology and avionics that's in use. Aircraft are built to last for over 25years and thsee afore mentioned planes haven't even spent half of the years mentioned. So my point remains, the aircraft isn't old Apelex: 1 Like |

Kreamie: That an Aircraft is made to last Over for 25 years doesn't mean they should stretch the lifespan before decommissioning it..go get your facts rite. Even in Nigeria there is a law banning the use of any aircraft older than 20 years....In the US,The NTSB has different service lifespan for different fixed wings aircraft varying from 12 to 18 years at most. And over there they have better maintenance services... Imagine you buy a brand new car today, and after rigorous usage.imagine how problematic that car will be Ten years from now.. Most African carriers buys planes that have been used by other foreign airlines.Boeing has a three year waiting list for the purchase of most of their new variants. |
