In a publication by The Nation Newspaper dated May 29th 2016 Buhari in a wide ranging interview with select newspaper editors said that the National Conference organized by the Jonathan Administration, is nothing more than a waste of N9billion, and admits he has not even bothered to touch the report of the confab.

Now my thoughts are how can a right thinking leader of a nation not have "touched" (that is open to read the report of the confab) but yet call it "a waste".

If he has read it then it will be acceptable to make judgement, but why pass judgement on what he hasn't seen or looked into?Please is this man so sentimental or is it just me over reacting?

Listening to Buhari's speech was a waste of time. He looked sick, weak and tired. There was no substance in his speech and he only passed blames and made excuses like the drop in the price of crude oil and all what not. There was nothing inspiring about the future in his drab speech. There was no clear-cut direction of where his government was heading. He took swipes at the Niger Delta Avengers and IPOB but remained mute over the murderous Fulani herdsmen. Buhari is an UNMITIGATED DISASTER - an absolute waste product. 1

the dullard lacks wisdom always making hateful statements that can cause chaos in the polity,always judgmental and vindictive,I expect his aides to do more work on him,he needs to apply more diplomacy,the country is in pieces already.

What I am actually wondering is that if he is pained by the cost at which the conference was held that is understandable. But is the high cost not enough reason for him to search the reports to see if he can find anything that can be implemented to make Naija better?
At least that will be a way of getting back something from it so that it dosent all amount to waste. But why will a president not look at a report that costed that much? Or is he trying to say all the elder statesmen who sat for the confab are morons and he buhari is the only wise person?

Here lies one of the weakest points of Buhari. That conference has far reaching decisions that can move Nigeria to higher heights. He should ignore what his Northern brothers have advised him about the report and take personal stand on the report. I hate leaders with ethno-centric point of view.
