GEJ took over a better economy with enough in the reserves and debt-free with $/barrel higher, spent six years and made it worse. PMB took over a terribly sick economy with depleted reserves and great debt; he has only spent a year. If this still looks biased to anyone, then you're not objective enough. 15 Likes 4 Shares |

jamace: That's not true. What we're currently experiencing is an after effect of the past leadership. My perfect illustration is that PMB took over guardianship of a child from GEJ. But by the time PMB undressed this child in order to dress him with a beautiful clothe, he found out that a lot of sores and injuries had been hidden under the cloth initially. What is to be done before clothing the child with new clothes is to first treat the sores and wounds - this is usually painful; application of iodine or methylated spirit. This is actually our current state - but people don't want to understand that our wounds must heal first, and that takes some time. Thanks 16 Likes 2 Shares |

mikolo80:Things are supposed to be cheaper now then because there is no much money, meaning no much demand for goods (based on your demand and supply stance). I tell you the truth bro, Buhari economic politicies caused the skyrocketting of prices. Reasons are: 1. You dont just close borders without producing your own items. With Nigeria not producing anything, Buhari closed the borders and this encouraged smuggling. Buhari was supposed to ensure that Nigeria has started producing her own items, at least to a reasonable level, before closing borders. Buhari closed borders in EXPECTATION that we shall start producing hence the skyrocketing of goods. 2. Buhari denied flow of forex for importers which led to importers buying forex from blackmarket to import goods. What do you expect when forex is sourced at higher prices to import goods? Higher cost of items, of course. APC and indeed Buhari should be practical instead of doing things in EXPECTATION. 8 Likes 1 Share |

And has Buhari established tookpick and toilet roll producing factories? Stop talking theory. Nigerians are suffering. APC should know that electioneering campaign ended a year ago. |

phranq: You see the issues with your argument now is the problem we're currently facing in this country. Because a regime failed to probe the previous means we must continue that way? We should keep accepting corruption and non accountability as our way of life and we'll progress? Does the fact that your forefathers make a mistake mean that you should continue? Foolishness is to keep doing things the same way and expect a change. And besides, OBJ that you're talking about left Nigeria debt free and with a robust treasury - I'm not saying he's not corrupt. But this time around, Nigeria has been plunged back into serious debt with depleted reserves. So what money will PMB work with?? |

Buhari..like every other president in the past is a corrupt, greedy and self centred. He is not bothered about the goodwill of the masses. He does not care about the economy. He is old. He doesnt like to worry. Its nt good for his health. I appreciate the faith some nigerians have in him. But Buhari like every other president in the past is Corrupt.. |

APC apologists are exactly the kind of people that keep blaming their ancestors for their current woes. Rather than roll up their sleeves and get to work, they sit, sulk and whine on how their father's father brother from their maternal side has been sitting on their progress and has placed a curse on their generation. Government is a continuum. Every administration inherits liabilities and try to ameliorate the situation or make it better. Truth is buhari has no idea on how to tackle the plethora of problems facing the country. He is grossly incompetent, inept and bereft of ideas. Period!

GlorifiedTunde:I have no qualms with Buhari prosecuting those that have ràped our commonwealth. In fact, i see that as one of GEJ's greatest undoing. Giving his lieutenants a free reign. Even though the recent arrests and prosecution may look a little lopsided, when the PDP or any other party get into power next they should arrest and prosecute those found to be corrupt in the APC. That should balance things out. After all, it is not the fault of the APC that the PDP failed to prosecute anyone. But is that where governance ends? Have you heard of the term multitasking? What about the economy? What about electricity, what about infrastructure? Why must everything else suffer simply because Buhari is fighting a war on corruption? Do you have any idea the number of promises APC made pre election? Not one, i repeat, not one has been fulfilled. What did we get instead; a complete volte face and belligerent denial that these promises were ever made. It's really sad how you folks continue to live in denial. Rather, attacking anyone that dared to bare his mind on the current state of affairs and continually blame the previous administration for their inability to perform. The question now is how much longer will the blame game go on? Even Buhari in his private moments agrees he has no idea what he is doing 1 Like

cold: Honestly, it is people like you that I love to discuss with. You have really raised intelligent points here. Good one! As for multitasking : that is why he has ministers. It is practically impossible for him alone to follow up on all. I believe he has picked corruption because that's his specialty - and the truth remains that is the most important part, so that our efforts are not in vain after all. Maybe not for every appointment, but I believe some ministers will deliver well. Let's not forget that the budjet has just been passed, funsiny is just arriving. I have seen BRF take some steps already. Concerning the blame game, I believe it cannot stop, as long as we ask them questions and they have to answer. Truth can be bitter, but sometimes its better to call a spade a spade. I believe we should give them about a year more, them we can assess the again. Nice submission you got there. |

GlorifiedTunde: don't lie to yourself tunde. i hardly respond to lies. but let me try. 1. "enough in the reserves and debt-free" No government have taken a debt-free regime. 2. spent six years, 2 years was an Acting president, actions are limited. not as elected president. also on the 4yrs, Nigerians where not suffering like this even with bokoharam and ebola , Nigerians are not suffering to this extent. if bokoharam was not politically motivated, it will be crushed by GEJ regime. we all know this. also there are good achievement in the first 1 year of GEJ even with a strong Opposition ( APC ) blackmailing and discouraging all Good efforts of GEJ regime, things were not as bad as this one. let the truth prevails. APC is just useless. |
