The highlight of the policy includes these. No individual will be allowed to run interstate You must posses permit to operate You must have a registered limited liability company to operate buses. You must have at least 10 buses in your fleet before you can register Your buses must not be older than 8years All your passengers must be insured to the tune of 2.5million Naira in case of death. Not a bad idea. However, the policy shouldn't take effect immediately. There should be at least 12 to 24 months before it's full implementation so that owners have time to implement the reforms. Source? |
