This septrin of a drug should be banned already. I have seen too many people react to it like this. The sulphur content is p[robably too high. I didnt know the comdition was called SJS sef.

I don't think the drug is responsible; she look really sick - I guess they wanted cheap and over the counter medication to cub the illness and it backfired!

She took the drug and immediately started reacting to it. Within an hour, she suffered sever burns on her face and neck.

She was later diagnosed with Stevens-Johnson syndrome, a “rare, serious disorder of skin and mucous membranes that is usually caused from reaction to a medication or an infection.

Her condition degenerated into the Stevens Johnson Syndrome (SJS). She died in the morning of June 2nd. So sad.

Amina died at the Mohammed Abdullahi Wase Specialist Hospital in Kano State.

You need to know if you react to septrin. I do and this makes me react to some other drugs as well. Even when fainting, the first thing I say to a doctor that doesn't have my medical history is that 'I react to septrin'. I had an incidence that taught me to be conscious of reaction to drugs. The septrin she too may not be fake as some people here are thinking

I am sure that 19 yrs old boy that sold the fake drug was Okeshoekwu and his father's name is nwa obo do

But joke apart, why buying drugs from a 19yrs

reaction to septrin can be severe..i once used septrin and my tongue and mouth was sored inside out(severe mouth ulcer).only God can save us.

Every single drug we take has side effects such as this and even worse. Just try reading the leaflet present in every drug we purchase and use, you'd be scared of even taking it self. Its just that it hardly occurs,about 1 in 10 million people perhaps. I dont think this case has to do with fake medication.

This is what happens when people refuse to employ liscenced pharmacists to work in their pharmacy. Should a young boy with no professional pharmaceutical training be prescribing drugs?! Such an unfortunate incidence

OMG,,,,,!!! I had such reaction from septrin since I noticed it I have to quit it's consumption. but my then was swollen lips burst and burnt like is so disgusting. I guess those who camped in paiko niger state batch C 2013 will remember OMG,,,,,!!! It is d system dat killed her....... why would a chemist or a pharmacist sell/dispense a drug not prescribed by a doctor..... its not a new thing in d country though...... every health worker should know his or her own do and donts...... doctors cannot be nurse and nurse cannot pharmacist nor pharmacist a lab scientist....God bless us...
