According to reports, rumors that Nigeria’s ex Head of State, Ibrahim Babangida, is dead, has gone viral in Minna, Niger state.

Babangida had fallen ill weeks ago and had been flown to Germany for treatment. However, reports had been flying around that he’s dead.

A family source, according to a Naij.com report, has however debunked the rumors.

“I do not know where these rumours are coming from,” the family member reportedly said. “It is false. This is inhuman.”

“We should pray for him, wish him well and not dead. “We are expecting him in Nigeria any moment from today because he has been in Germany for treatment,” the person added.

Babangida is said to be recovering after a corrective surgery recently as a result of radiculopathy disease.
