okay! this is the practical cause of your problem.

first were are you alwasy located when using your laptop,? is it that your laptop just switches off when ever you run a particular program? or it just trips off with out notice/


the possible cause of this is

1.your processor is over heating and theres is a stipulated period a processor and heat for long .

2. your processor fan is not working,,,,,,(check the cables)

3. your battery is dead( does it trip off when on light or battery or both)

is a hardware problem. to prove this we need to do a very simple test. the ball is in your court

What is the model of your laptop? My guess is either battery is drained/faulty, battery is wobbly and disconnects, or your laptop is overheating (although I imagine you'd get a blue screen for that, not a random shutdown).
