A prominent female activist from the Niger Delta, Ankio Briggs, on Sunday condemned the Niger Delta Avengers for attacking oil and gas pipelines and installations in the region, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.

Ms. Briggs, a close ally of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, said the avengers were from Somalia and not Nigeria.

The Northern elite too always claimed that Boko Haram members were from Niger and Chad and not really Nigerians. So how come people from other countries come into Nigeria freely to terrorise us? I have never heard other African countries claim that their terrorists are from Nigeria.
Nigerians should stop deceiving themselves. Only a return to true federalism will bring genuine peace.
