If the sun disappears, an artificial sun will be invented.

trust humans......the idea of building an underground city a whooping 2000m into the earth interior will surface. Wait o, what if the sun just shift a few thousand miles towards the earth?.
It will be like microwaving butter.

no, atleast not yet, if you dig 1km from the ocean floor, youré only 0.1% away from the core.
the deepest man has dug is a 9.1km borehole in Germany, part of the Continental Deep Drilling Project (KTB), but deeper still is the 12.25km "Superdeep" hole in the Kola Peninsula near the Arctic Circle in Russia, drilled between 1977 and 1989. The latter is roughly 0.4% of the distance (2,900km) to the core of the earth. [/quote

Ah yes....that big hole dug in Russia for ''science''....or whatever.

So there is another solar system

Over 300 exoplanets have been discovered, and many of them orbit other stars.

For now, we do not have the technology to travel there...but we do have telescopes.....specialist telescopes...that can ''see'' such planets.

At least one might be Earth-like (orbits the star Gilese 581)
