My First True Poem. by Teebouye995(m): 7:15pm On Jul 05, 2016
growing up, i've always nourished my profound love for writing and oratory and after giving it some trials, i eventually came up with this.

TO MY UNKNOWN

It feels like yesterday when i first met you;
I said, 'I love you' and you uttered same with a 'too';
I remember the things we always do, getting busy all night - me sneaking into you;
But like real couples, we were supposed to have one heart not two;
Now all that is gone and I'm feeling like a fool;
I should have listen when you warned, but i thought i was protecting you;
Trying to keep you from the troubles that 'those boys' could cause you;
Now that you're gone and i wish i knew, that my being overly-protective was actually killing you;
I've realised you are meant to be like a bird in the wind, soaring so high - as free as you can be;
But if being free is what you wanna be, I guess I'll rather let you be.
