NIGERIANS BEWARE OF CORPORATE MOVERS NIG. LTD AND THEIR SALES AGENTS!!!

Despite the frantic efforts of Nigeria and indeed Nigerians in laundering the image of the country both locally and internationally, if only to save the little remaining honour we enjoy internationally as a nation, from the gutters that some us had battered it into, yet, some undesirable elements, devoid of decorum and sense of shamefacedness still go about undoing what many are trying to repair to the detriment of our trust and belief in the system.
Nearly in all airports of the countries of the world, wherever one may go, it is almost impossible to use the green passport as a means of identification without some wariness and serious frisking from the immigrations and other officials just to ensure that they are not caught unawares while one criminality or another is being perpetrated. The situation is so bad these days that the simple fact that one is a Nigerian is enough to earn one contempt, hate, disgust, mistrust and indeed suspicions. All over the internet, a googling of the word scam or fraud will always produce Nigeria and Nigerians as the kingpins behind all forms of delinquencies since, as it were, scam and fraudulent e-mails most often than not have always been traced to the doorsteps of Nigerians.
Some have opined that the Ibos caste amongst us Nigerians are mainly the ones responsible for such dastardly acts, yet I beg to differ, notwithstanding the perpetrators of the evil act am about to tell being Ibos. Regardless of whatever caste one belongs, it is my belief that a good heart would always goodness, while one foul would always exhibit foolish or negative traits no matter where he is emanating from.

Monday the 31st of August, just like the days before it, broke into a beautiful dawn and, as expected I got ready for the office.
Upon getting to the office, people trickled in as usual and before long, work started in earnest. Not a strange feeling or flying bird gave us an inkling to what laid ahead of us; none of us would have been able to tell that in some hours time some dishonest Nigerians would come to swindle us of, though not pretty much money but painful all the same.

About noon of that day, some Marketers ( 2 ladies and a man) had walked into my office to market their wares, especially when they are on sales promotion- this is commonplace these days especially with electronics appliances and such like. They marketed among other things Indoor antennas, Perfumes and body Spray.

As part of their Unique selling points, they had told us that their product (Indoor antennas) was capable of receiving foreign free-to-air signals up to about 39 channels, which is being made possible with the help of an arrangement with DSTV.

Though this sounded good but it was strange to us initially as we were only ware of such pact between MTN and DSTV but we were taken in by the guy’s explanation that only Free-to-air- channels would be received, so most of us jumped at it.
He told us further that we had to recharge the appliance for 2 hours after which an alarm will give off and the device for foreign signal reception would be activated. We doubted him at that very point but he spoke with even more conviction that we were all convinced at once. To convince us (or is it to confuse us) further, he asked us to make photocopies of his ID card, which we did and the copies were even paid for by him. We bought two off of him at the rate of N7000.00. An antenna actually sold at the rate of N1200 in the market.
He collected money and left with his cronies as it began to rain and we went ahead to begin charging the appliance in the hope that in two hours time, it would be activated for use.
It was a big surprise to us however, that past two hours the appliance was yet to give off any alarm much less become activated for what we were told it would do. Thus we became apprehensive that perhaps we had been fleeced. And so it was that we had been fleeced for real- We Nigerians fiddled by fellow Nigerians!!!

Tomorrow a good Nigerian might bring a real product into our office without making a single sale owing to the bitter experience we have had with some bad predecessor before them.

It is all in black and white, the title(Corporate Movers Nig. Ltd) is the name of with which those cohorts disguise to defraud the above persons.

There was an intro, then the ordeal.

What more do you need to understand. It is simply plain.
